I don't know how much this will come into play but I just noticed that Michigan St hasn't played a game since Nov 17. Boston College had their final regular season game Nov 24 and then played the ACC championship on Dec 1. That's a really long layoff for the Spartans. It makes you wonder how sharp they will be.

I know there's a possibility that B.C. may not be all that motivated for this bowl game as their aspirations were a bit higher, but all things considered I like B.C. to cover the 5.5 pts. -
Dragon, I wonder if this is the reason the Big Ten doesn't always do real well in the bowl season. They are the only league that doesn't have any bye weeks during the season and then on top of that they don't have a championship game. It makes for a long layoff for all of the teams in the Big Ten. The conference should really look into changing this.Comment
