    MLB Saturday

Big Dogs (and small ones too) that have a decent enough chance of winning -

Florida +205 @ Philly - (Nolasco 4-3 4.70 vs Hamels 5-3 3.18) - Phillies can't win every game, can they? Phillies have scored 60 runs in their last 5 games! However, with the exception of Hendrickson last night, they've been facing some bottom tier pitching lately. Today they face Ricky Nolasco who is 3-0 2.78 over his last four starts and who should be worth a shot at +205.

Washington +200 @ Arizona - (Bergmann 1-1 4.50 vs Webb 9-2 3.01) - Arizona and Brandon Webb coming back toward reality finally. Webb has lost 2 in a row after 9-0 start and his ERA has climbed from 1.98 to 3.01 last 5 starts. Arizona has now lost 5 in a row and 10 of last 13. Arizona is only 10-17 outside of their division. The Diamondbacks have feasted on teams within their weak division where 6 of Webb's first 9 starts (and wins) were from. He's beaten Colorado 3 times, the Giants twice and the Pads once. Bergmann has actually turned it around and has not given up a run in his last 3 starts totaling 19.2 innings, with 22 SO to only 6 BB. He has lowered his ERA from 11.68 to 4.50. Washington may not win, but the line is way out of whack and worth a shot.

Padres +105 @ San Francisco - Pete Misch (0-1 6.54) is winless in 6 starts. The Giants have lost all 6 of the games he's started. Recent call-up Josh Banks has looked good for the Pads so far. Aurelia out for the Giants.

Texas +106 vs Oakland - Even pitching matchup (Ponson vs Blanton) with a nice home dog who have been playing pretty good lately and have taken 5 of 7 from the A's this year already.

Baltimore +118 vs Boston - (Olsen 4-1 4.09 vs Lester 3-3 3.55) Another nice home dog vs a poor road team. Olson has pitched well at home.

Well the Houston game started out real slick. The Astros jump out to a 1-0 lead and then Chacon strikes out the first 2 Brewers in the bottom of the 1st, and then? ...... hit by pitch, Chacon throwing error, walk, infield single, walk, another hit by pitch, double.....4-1 Milwaukee, all with 2 outs....unbelievable. 2 walks and 2 hit batsmen with 2 outs.

            Tuesday - June 3

            National League -

Philadelphia -109 vs Cincinatti (Eaton 1-3 4.99 vs Harang 2-7 3.81) - Not crazy about Eaton but he has shown improvement lately. Harang pitching for the 4th time in 12 days and has got hammered pretty good last 2 starts sandwiched around a stellar 4 inning emergency relief appearance in San Diego. Phillies got the hot bats having won 10 of last 13, are 19-12 at home vs Cincy 9-20 away.

Milwaukee -104 vs Arizona - (McClung 2-2 4.80 vs Johnson 4-1 3.83) - The Brewers are the hot team having won 8 of last 10 and 4 in a row, plus are 17-10 at home. Arizona has only won 5 times in the last 16 games, and if I counted correctly, are only 3-11 on the road outside of their division.

Giants +125 vs Mets - (Zito 1-8 5.53 vs Martinez 0-0 10.80) - Zito actually pitching better lately and has dropped his ERA 2 full pts last 5 starts. Martinez is an unknown at this point coming off of the disabled list. The Giants having been playing well lately at 8-4 last 12. Mets not the best road team at 11-17.

              Tuesday - June 3

              American League -

Chicago -122 vs Kansas City - (Floyd 5-3 vs Greinke 5-2 2.88) - Pretty even pitching matchup and small price for a decent home team (with an irate manager) vs a Royals team that has been struggling.

Angels +117 @ Seattle (Saunders 8-2 2.76 vs Bedard 4-3 4.08) - Not sure why Seattle is favored. Maybe because Bedard had a good game finally last time out and Saunders got rocked. The Angels, however, are 13 1/2 games ahead of the Mariners for good reason.

                Tuesday - June 3

                Parlay fun! Pays 8-1

                Phillies -111 (see above)
Braves -177 (Stellar home team with a hot pitcher (Campillo 2-0 .99) vs floundering Marlins (ha-ha....he said 'Flounder-ing Marlins' )who have lost 5 of 7 on current road trip. Badenhop (1-3 6.75) has been pretty 'Bad')
Col/LA OV 8 -120 (I wanted to play the over last night and should have. Rockies pitching getting beat up pretty bad lately and Penny for the Dodgers has also)
Minnesota -150 (Kevin Slowey 2-4 3.38, going for the home team Twins, has pitched better than his record would indicate. Baltimore going with Triple A call-up, rookie Radhames Liz who was 1-5 4.05 at Triple A. He went 0-2 6.93 in 4 starts when he got called up at the end of last year. Pretty scary)

                  Leans -

Also like Oakland -130, maybe for a parlay choice. Rusty Dontrelle Willis going for the Tigers and will be on a limited pitch count. To be backed up by capable Armando Galarraga (4-2 3.44) but hopefully the damage will be done by then. In 6 innings of work so far this year he has given up 5 runs on only 2 hits, but has issued 11 walks to 0 strike outs....ouch. Dana Eveland (4-4 3.66), going for the home team A's, got rocked last time out but has pitched very well overall.

Good Luck! Have to say I am on the Reds. Harang over Eaton. Could see that one going over too, but they pissed me off when they only got to 9 last night after a fast start.

LOL....I had that game under 10 on a parlay last night. Was sweating that one out a bit, although the stinking Yankees blew that parlay out of the water. What did I say earlier? The Yankees do to me like the Cubs do to you.
I played a 'late-nighter' that saved my day though (Angels, Cubs, Dodgers and your Giants), although my 'other' nemesis (The Padres) tried to spoil that one.

In your favor, of course, is the fact that the Phillie clean up hitter, Ryan Howard, is only batting .209 with 80 freakin' strike outs. Including one tonite with the freakin' bases loaded. You ever hear of a sacrifice fly bozo

Oakland vs Detroit - I mentioned Dontrelle Willis and his problem with walks. Well he's showing true to form with 6 walks in 4 innings. Only problem is Dana Eveland says 'whatever you can do I can do better'.....7 walks so far for Dana

Nice night! Philly/cinnci was a good one that could have went either way.

Cubs are hot and spoil my night again.

I had Seattle and that one was a close one too. Tigers cannot win the close ones, thats for sure.
