Illinois 21-5 takes on the Nittany Lions 18-8
The Illini are looking at a sell out for this game
and home cooking will be needed.
Some Early thoughts from the floor
Illinois has a hard time with teams that have
a 2 guard offensive punch, Guards that can beat
you with a dribble down move and create.
Penn State basketball team is no slouch
they have 3 really good players,
Battle a 5-11 guard who is scoring 18 a game
this kid can beat you from any where.
Pringle a 6-1 guard, another sharp shooter
avg 14 a game
Conley a 6-5 super forward who can
really play some defense and he scores 15 a game.
PSU IS IN A SLUMP
A offensive slump to be exact
Penn State in the last 3 losses where held
to its lowest point total per game for the season
51 in a loss to Mich....
44 in a loss to Wisky
47 in a loss to Purdue
(they did beat Minny at home this saturday scoring
68)
During these 3 games Penn State has averaged
47 points a game (23 below season average)
The 3 headed monster they have on offense
is shooting bricks at 35% from the floor and
24% from long range.
Battle and Pringle of PSU is a combined
16-70 thats 21% from the field and only
10% from three point land.....
The teams they lost to was
Michigan, Wisky and Purdue
all who play clamp down defense....
This game is shaping up to be a good one
and Carpet thinks early on that Illinois defense
and being at home will be enough to win
this game.
