Seriously, they are making UTEP and Oregon State play 3 games?

I keep thinking I am in groundhog day when i wake up and see another line for this damn game.

I know. Why on earth play 3 games? Who thought that up? They don't do that in the NIT or NCAA tournaments. But in the least meaningful tournament they feel it takes 3 games to properly declare a victor? Weird.

Oregon State sure hasn't gotten much respect in this tournament. Not sure they deserved much coming in, but they have gone 5-0 ATS so far, and have won SU as a dog or a pick-em in 4 out of 5 games. The opening line on tonight's game was UTEP -7.5 and was bet up to -9 before recently falling back down to -8.5. I half-way expected them (OSU) to finally fold when they hit the road for that last game, but they played tough again and actually led by 5 at HT. And is was still just a 2 pt game with under a minute to play. Of interest, UTEP attempted 37 FT's, to just 11 for OSU, making just 22 of them though for a 59.5% shooting %. But they still out-scored the Beavs by 14 at the foul line. UTEP also only made 2 of 12 from 3-pt range, and OSU just 7 of 26...both well under their average percentages. UTEP also connected on just 5 of 18 3-pointers in the first game. The totals for both games have still been 144 and 133 though, with the line set for 134 tonight. I definitely like the over tonight, as OSU may not have the gas left to play up to their defensive best. And hopefully, more of those 3's and FT's will start dropping.
