  • Hall of Famer did ROIDS - Says Canseco - who is it??

After David Ortiz became the latest roider (I knew the Bosox couldn't break the curse without cheating) Jose Canseco says there's a hall of famer who used roids.

It's only a matter of time before a sportsbooks posts odds on this.

    Care to guess?

Names being thrown around are Kirby Pucket and Ricky Henderson.

Henderson would seem the logical choice. Former teamate of the big juicer Canseco........

    Babe Ruth?

This is a prime example of doing things the hard way. Arroyo set a perfect example... everyone in baseball should admit their guilt. Get it over with. It will be better for the game

I agree. Look at two prime examples of coming clean.......Andy Pettitte and Jason Giambi. Granted, they didn't come out until they were caught or mentioned, but once that happened, they didn't try to hide. Neither is maligned now. No one really cares.

Then look at guys like Clemens and Bonds. They look like fools.

If it were me I would have come clean right away. I would have said yes, I took steroids. Why? Because 80%, maybe more, of the entire league did. You can't compete on an even playing field otherwise. That's the way it is, like it or not.

Has anyone ever established the exact time frame of when this occurred? I have heard all through the 90s, but how much earlier. O think Ive also read reports of Mcgwire and Canseco juicing in the late 80s. Is this true?

Totally agree with this whole post.

I think it is Kirby Puckett.

What would make you think it was Kirby Puckett?

well , from what i have been able to dig up , here is the list of HOF players canseco played with.....

                Nolan Ryan (Texas, 1992 - 1993)
                Rickey Henderson (Oakland, 1989 - 1992)
                Wade Boggs (Tampa Bay, 1999)
                Reggie Jackson (Oakland, 1987)
                Don Sutton (Oakland, 1985)
                Rich Gossage (Oakland, 1992)
                Dennis Eckersley (Oakland, 1987 - 1992) ,

and a pitcher went from mediocre to a "LIGHTS OUT" closer while playing with Jose Can RIOD-O , starting at age 32.
