  • Online Betting?

I've been a long time follower of this board and have made several post over the past few years. I think this board had some very intellegnt and insightful players and i felt you were the guys to ask!
I've always had a guy that i dealt with. However, he past away this past year and I'm left to try and fiqure out how to do this online. I tried to set up an account with sportsbook, but the would not accept my visa card. i bought a prepaid card to try that and still no luck. I tried to open an e wallet account, but nothing. I once had a bodog account a couple of years ago, but they emailed me something wanting a picture Id and bank records and i just said forget about it. What is the best sight for me to go with?

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thats weird they have never ask for an id from me at Bodog? I just made a deposit a week ago.

whether your CC deposit works or not depends on your CC company. I've had luck with a couple of mine at www.sports.com. They had a 50% reload bonus offer a couple weeks ago. Not sure it applies to new accounts, but you could try.
Type RELOAD50 (all caps) on the deposit page in the promotions box. You should get 10% regardless.

I got it! Thanks. I just went back to bodog and reregistered with a new screen name, using my other email address, and i got the deposit to work too. Obviously ive never asked for a withdrawl before, hopefully ill get the chance to see how thats gonna work. Anyone ever had any problems getting their payout with them?

They passed something several years back saying you can't deposit or withdraw for online gambling? Is this still in effect? Theres nothing banning the use of online books like sportsbook.com and bodog right?

Just befor the nfl season opened in 2008, I tried to get myself an account at a few online sportsbooks, but my card was always being rejected. Come monday Morning I called my financial institution and this is what they told me: Online Gambling institutions were to hard to regulate and the Govt was having a hard time getting their share so they banned them and made them illegal in the U.S.A. Most sportsbooks now operate "offshore" So Governments can not try to get their "fair share" Since offshore accounts are a no no with the govt and people use them as tax shelters and what not, some financial institutions choose not to allow their cards to be used for this kind of account.

Just what i was told anyways...

Then we can always say...."OK...then I choose not to have you as my financial institution"
