Nobody Likes the Zips Tonight

Been looking into the Temple - Akron game tonight. Several sites that I check for how the public is betting reveal no respect for the Akron Zips. With about 90 minutes before game time, over 90% of the bettors are taking Temple on two of the sites and the other site shows 87% on Temple.

This reminds of two weeks ago when I saw the same pattern with Oregon State heavily favored by the betting public over UCLA and last week OK over Nebraska and Oregon over Stanford. In all three instances, the dog covered and Stanford and Nebraska won outright.

I’m taking my chances with the home dog Zips at -6.5.

It's Temple 49 and the Zips 17 in the 4th quarter. Now I know, the hard way, why nobody likes the Zips. Public wins big on this game.

Yeah, hard to believe that the Zips led at one time 17 - 7.

Today, BYU ditto. The public (90% plus) is all over them to easily cover New Mexico at -27.5. We'll see what happens. No action for me, too much chalk.
