Illinois +21 at Cinnci--Can they hang?

Theres only one to turn to in this game and his name is CARPET...

What are your thoughts?

Probably Illinois' bowl game, but can they stop the Bearcats??

I am leaning to taking Illinois, but wanted to get your opinion first of the state of affairs in Champaign.

Woodee I have been looking at this game for
4 weeks had it circled in red at the beginning of the
season.

Never did I think that Illinois would be playing this
game for thier own Super Bowl and Pride at the
beginning of the season, but they are......................

Illinois is coming off a bye week, the team practiced
well this week and cant wait to play the # 5 team in
the Country. Juice Williams is going to start.

When I Look at Cinnci I cant help to see a team
that is Over Rated and really has not played anyone
to speak of running up 10 wins.

Cinnci has a few good strengths, the passing game
is really good and special teams are what I consider
outstanding. Again they are rolling up some big numbers
vs a soft schedule in my opinion.

Cinnci is in transition at QB from Clausser (check spelling)
to PIKE, Pike will be playing with a cast on his
non throwing hand. Any time you transition a QB
the signal calling and timing is a adjustment for the
entire offense.

The Defense of Cinnci cannot stop the run and
Ucon ran for 200 yards rushing and WV also
ran for 202 yards. The running lanes will be wide open
for Juice to run in.

Illinois has some great talent and I am going to
go out onto the floor and say it is the best talent Cinnci
has seen all year.

The Defense of Illinois has really been playing better
last few games, still the occasional break down on
big plays but they are getting to the QB in the
last few games.

The Illini will have success in the run game and
Carpet thinks Juice is gonna drive that Defense
crazy trying to figure out the next play.

It would not surprise me if Illinois wins this game
straight up, Wait till this Cinnci team sees and
feels how hard Illinois hits it will be noted.

I just dont see a Blow Out, my numbers said
Cinnci by 17 on a really good day for them.

Seems like the line is being driven by this # 5 ranking
which I feel is inflated as well as the line.

The last time I checked there is still a Football
Team called Illinois.

Coach Ron Zook actually feels good about this
game.

Thats the 1st time all season I have heard Zook
say we feel good about this coming game.....

Illinois football is down in a big way but they
have more talent Pound for Pound., vs Cinnci

This is not a Homer call ...........

Illinois is gonna totally disrupt Cinnci and keep this close

If you didnt watch the game and only looked at
the stats you would think Illinois won this game.

Illinois 476 yards of total offense to 420 for Cinnci......

Illinois 24 first downs to 17 of Cinnci'''''

Illinois 169 yards rushing vs 21 for Cinnci.

Illinois 36 minutes time of possession vs 23 for cinnci

I knew Cinnci's Special Teams were just that Special
and they just changed the whole game for the
bearcats. Cinnci started every drive north of thier own
40 every possession.

QB Pike shredded Illinois so called secondary for
6 strikes but the run game was not there at all
for this team

Cinnci ran for 21 yards on the ground, they live
by the pass to survive on offense.

One thing that really stands out to me looking at
this number 5 team is that they do not have a DEFENSE

And they DO NOT have a running game.

Hats off to Pike the QB of Cinnci he is a true
QB with a great arm.

But a true # 5, I dont think so
