Can tell you I have been at the floor looking at this
game for 2 weeks........
The Bull Dogs are better than last year and have a
beast inside down low, but slow off the step
A total miss match of teams....
Expect Illinois to come out slow and pick up
steam as the game goes on, some really talented
players on both teams and talent brings the best
out of Illinois.
The more I look at this game from floor level the more
I love the Illini in this spot......
Illinois is 5-0 vs Georgia
The SIXTH MAN
Bull Dogs avg about 5,000 fans a game, this game
is being played in Duluth about 50 miles from home
on a neutral court, fans will not be a issue
A LOOK AT THE BULL DOGS
Suffering Double digit beatings to UAB, VTech and
St Johns this is a young and inexperienced team.
Averaging only 63 pts a game the lowest scoring
average in 50 years for the bull dogs. They have only
scored once in the 70's. (Illinois defense will smother them)
GA has 2 good scoring threats Fwd Topkins at beast
and guard leslie, thats it.....
The Bulldogs are only shooting three point shots
at a clip of only 3 a game.
They love to get to the free throw line avg 22
trips per game hitting 70%..
Illinois is shooting 48% from the floor in the
last 4 games
Guard D J Richardson of Illinois leads the Big 10
in 3 point shooting hitting 54% from afar.
7-1 Tisdale, 6-10 Mike Davis and 6-9 wilkins
will contain the middle, Illinois has some depth
and will rotate big man after big man all game
Coach Weber is really pushing this team on defense
and look for them to play clamp down defense
vs GA forcing alot of steals and turnovers.
