I have a new found respect for Colt McCoy. His interview after the game, which had to be hard was one of the best I've seen. Total Class!!!! Tough luck for him and the Longhorns. Got to give the Longhorns credit for not just rolling over and quiting. Great effort on their part during adverse circumstances. McCoys departure from the game took the wind out of the Longhorns. Not a pretty win for Bama, but we will take it. I hope McCoy does well in the future. I'm a fan!! This is one happy Bama fan also!!! ROLL TIDE!!!!

From someone who had Alabama, I was thrilled to see McCoy go down on the opening drive. Especially the way he was moving the ball. Gotta take a win any way you can get one.
From a hardcore college football fans view, I was disappointed. The fans got gipped and for that matter, I would think Alabama got gipped. They won, and yeah, injuries are part of the game, but you want to beat soneone elses best when you win a title.
Who knows what would have happened, but I think you can be sure we would have seen a much different game....... -

Congrats RR84! But your previous post about "My worst call ever" should have gone to Mr. Saban. Fake punt on a 4th and 23 on the opening drive?? Also, why do you think they took the ball to begin the game instead of deferring to the 2nd half and putting their defense on the field first? You must have been having heart failure until McCoy went out. Glad for both of us that Alabama woke up and started playing. Enjoy the championship, buy all the gear you can, because it is so hard to win them with all the parity out there!Comment

Allsport, I like coach Saban, but that wasn't one of his best coaching performances to say the least. The play you mentioned, and then I can understand going conservative and using clock in the second half, but he went ultra conservative. As far as taking the ball first.... your guess is as good as mine. The only thing I could think of was to maybe get McElroy in as quick as possible to settle his nerves. Well, we all saw how that worked out. Texas was ready to play and hats off to them. I agree with Bettorsworld, wish McCoy wouldn't have gotten injured. Thankful for the Bama win and we will never know how it would have turned out, but Texas deserves lots of praise. Congrats to you Allsport..... It appears you did quite well in the bowl contest!!!!!Comment
