Nothing the last few days.....and today with 3 home dogs only 1 is close to a lean. But as of right now....nothing there.

If it swings into a lean prior to gametime I will update.

The world series of poker is in full swing and I have already run into several people that are regular readers of this blog. Always nice to have people stop by and say Hi.

I am putting in more hours then usual at the bellagio...so my morning posts for about a month will be pretty short and to the point.

Also I have had several emails regarding the line moving on these baseball plays shortly after I put them out. I have noticed it a bit but not nearly like the ncaa baskets were moving. There is much more liquidity in the baseball pool.

But if you find that to be a problem the fastest way to get these picks are through twitter and your cell phone. Any pick I post is first sent out via twitter...then my blog and finally if I have time....to a few boards I post on.

Nothing the last few days but there is a lean today in mlb:

May is behind us and it was about as good as it gets for sports betting. A 12 game win streak and ending the month 15-3.

We had 21 picks in april and 18 in may.

A 5-0 lead wasn't enough for Toronto...and even a 5-3 lead going into the 9th wasnt enough as they lost 7-6 and our lean on Tues went down

We have been getting a number of breaks...so as always breaks go both ways.

Today 2 home dogs......the pirates are completely out of consideration as a pick but San diego may swing into a lean.....but a lot has to happen before 4:30. I will keep an eye on the numbers and update if anything develops.

I am working on a new method of handicapping the nba for next season. So far its the only mainstream sport that I am having difficulty getting a grasp on. I am going to put less emphasis on what the public is doing and more on what worked in NCAA baskets. I was confident in mlb this season that thing would work out well.....but am not nearly as confident in the NBA but we will see next season


Looking at game 1 tonight......no edge I can see either way. The public is on Boston 60-40...the line moved from +6 to +5.5. One of my models is strong in favor of the Celtics tonight and another is strong in favor of the Lakers. In addition my short dog rule would also take boston out of consideration.

Game 3 in the nhl is very similar. The public is heavy on Phil....64-36. And my models are split on the sides.

Wednesday MLB lean

San diego as a lean was a winner. Behind 1-0 they tied it up the bottom of the 9th and then a four run home run finished it off in extra innings.

However I am not going to put this into my records since I inadvertently posted the pick 10 min after the game started.

In addition the nba game I referred to yesterday is tonight. Oh well...only 5 more weeks of the world series and then the bellagio tournament...wonder if my sanity will hold out

Nothing yesterday but today there is 1 lean and two more that could turn into leans by game time. I will update if anything develops.
