  • Is it really that hard to have a closer?

Seriously, is it really that impossible to get 3 outs before giving up one run or two runs or a ton more?

Yes, I was on the Twins & Baltimore today, great bets until the bullpen lit it up. Was on the White Sox yesterday, same thing. I have never seen a year where there have been so many games in which a team took the lead in the 9th and the bullpen pisses it away. It's nearly a daily occurrence!

From Yahoo MLB Sports - White Sox Manager, Ozzie Guillen, sums it up best:

"I'm going to Miami right now. I don't have any closer," Guillen told reporters. "I don't have any closer. I don't."

Collectively, the White Sox bullpen has a 6.14 ERA and has blown multiple-run leads three times in three losses.

I agree...I think I am more confident having the team that is trailing going into the 9th than the team that is winning.

Cards and Franklin are another example. I think hes saved 1 of 4 so far. Hate to admit it, but Carlos Marmol of the cubs is probably the best in the NL right now.
