Guess I am missing something.. It really doesn't matter how many games are added if someone will be to copy someone else.. I think you can keep things the way they are as long as say a couple of weeks ahead you make the guys in contention post secretly by email to pappa.. I as have stated that those same picks need to come say one hour early so that the rest of us can benefit from the wisdom of those in question..

The last Four weeks is really over kill, in fact, the last three weeks is somewhat over kill. If you're just pulling some folks chains for a reaction - OK. However, the last two weeks are sufficient. Also, I've noted Jeff, other than his generosity with the site and prize money, has'nt been involved in accepting picks, e.g., last year's NFL contest. I recall Taxman ended up accepting the picks not Jeff.

Should you also be one of the leaders going into the last 4, 3, whatever number of weeks, you also will need to defer and secure a volunteer (other than Jeff) to accept the picks and post them before game time.

For the record, I'm not speaking for Jeff and it's his call should he go along with whatever scheme you design.

@ Laxfo99: Relax dude, I GOT THIS! I've been running this contest since 2004 (I believe that was the year you joined the forum). Since I am the one scoring the contest I dont think 4 weeks is overkill. You just concentrate on picking winnners like you did last year and everything will be fine.

@ Carpet: Any time, any place, any where. I could throw darts at the Sat rotation and still have a better winning percentage than you. I have looked at ur historical record since 04. You have been so bad you usually quit competing by week 8 or 9. Shall I post ur record for the years you actually posted the entire season?

Its like a heavyweight fight back in the day when boxing was good!

For the record, looking back, if the rules were still the same and I had a chance to win the whole thing by "staying in the rules" and copying a pick, I would do it again, bc that cash was nice!

But it is a good idea to email the picks the last few weeks to avoid a-holes like me who take advantage of playing within the rules and taking the cash money.

I do like the posting lines later in the week bc under the radar there were more cheap plays that one cares to discuss after the line moved, but again, it was 'within the rules' so it was legal.

I just hope my college foots capping is better than my baseball or I will be first to worst fast!

Woodee, I love your post.. so true!! Hey this is pappa's thing and what ever he decides is cool with me.. Remember as I stated after Woodee won last year, WE ALL PLAY BY THE SAME RULES... Emailing picks for the last four weeks also defeats the purpose of sharing our picks and promoting the site. Especially since we wouldn't be seeing the picks of the top Cappers for the last four weeks! Not good. The last week is enough. Two if the leaders agree.

I agree Widestrides, and I think they should be emailed to pappa earlier than ours so that he can post them for the rest of us to see.. Hey, I am not running it but why can't they email to him by say an hour earlier than the rest of the picks and he then post them for all of us to see?
