    Post your thought...

I hope the Mavs win is my first thought, but feel Miami will take it in 7..

On the gambling side I think the D will step up.

    Game 1:
    Under 188.5

Lean on the Mavs +2.5 for the 1st half too.

Excerpt from a Jim Feist write-up at www.sportsnetwork.com
He's not making a pick, it's just an article, but if I'm reading that correctly it looks pretty good for the home team.

"Not counting this current series, over the last 11 years the home team is 47-15 SU, 37-24-1 ATS in the Finals, while the favorite is 42-21 SU/34-28-1 ATS. Recent results show the home team stepping up and getting the money, while the favorite often wins but doesn't always cover. In fact, from 2001-2004 the home team went just 10-10 SU/6-13-1 ATS in the Finals."

When we get to this point in the season, I don't think home-court advantage is as important as it is during the regular season. Sure, many would beg to differ because the games are more improtant - but the teams that are left standing at the moment, have already been through a month-and-a-half of pressure-packed games -- and these mostly veteran ballclubs usually play their game no matter what house they're in............I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't base your series play on who's got the home-court advantage, just bet on the best team.

Here's where I won't get so deep because you guys have known for years now that I've never been a "statistics man", so I don't care what already happened down through the years, or what's already happened this year, all I want to focus on is what's gonna happen in this series...........and I'll tell you that now.

Simply put, the Dallas Mavericks are this years best all-around team........They play the much tougher Western Conference, they've beaten better opponents to get here, and they are firing on all cylinders at the moment. A bunch of veteran playoff players that have been through this pressure before, they've been playing together for much longer, and most importantly, they believe in themselves AS A TEAM.

The same can't be said about the Miami Heat, who were "formed" this year by a hungry, ego driven GM in Pat Riley.......They got it together in beating the upstart Bulls when Chicago proved that a one-man driven offense wasn't gonna get it done........Especially when for some reason or two others, Rose forgot how to hit the outside shot.........but if you look closely, neither can the Miami Heat........and this will eventually do them in......Having trouble hitting outside shots against a smaller Chicago team was fathomable, but against a much bigger defensive team in Dallas, they will be in big trouble........Le Bron James can't do it alone, and the team struggles when he struggles..........So because of all of this, my stash will be with the DALLAS MAVERICKS TO TAKE THIS SERIES IN LESS THAN 7 GAMES.

      GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY.
      ;)

        Thursday---

Mavs +5 over Heat...This may be the trap of the year but I cannot see laying points with the Heat in this spot. From what I watched, the Mavs missed a lot of shot late in the 4th otherwise if they hit a couple more it would have been down to the wire. I will make the heat prove they are that good to cover 2 in a row. Adjustments will be made and the heat won't hit as many from 3-land either. Mavs can win this one SU so the points are a bonus in my eyes. Plus the NBA would rather drag this one out a bit for the conspirary minded people like me.

I had Miami in Game 1. Watching the game through about the middle of the 3rd Q I just could not believe that Miami was even hanging. They weren't getting or taking good shots, their 3's weren't falling and they were getting out-rebounded and out-hustled for the most part. I'm amazed they covered that game. I think I'd be tempted to go with Dallas in Game 2 also.

Miami's toast now...unbelievable. What a melt-down. Why on earth they kept throwing up 3's is beyond me. And LaBron misses everything in crunch time. Good luck now.

I am 2-0 so far in the finals so I may cash in my chips and call it a year in the NBA. No way I can win anymore, but I know I can lose it. I will keep posting my thoughts but my real plays are done i think.

I do have Miami +300 to win in 7.

I had Miami -4 in both, but in Game 2 I also took Dallas +10.5 in-running mid 4th Q. Sure thought I had it won on both ends.

Game 3 has Dallas just at -2.5. I'm a little surprised. They think Miami is going to come out pissed for blowing a 15 pt 4th Q lead? I don't know.....I think that will fire Dallas up too.

Dropped to Dallas -2 now. I guess once a square always a square but I don't get it. It's like they are begging you to take Dallas. I'm going to fall for it hook, line and sinker I'm afraid.

Any questions ?..............Any questions NOW ?........This turd Le Bum James just proved what I've been saying for the past 5 years now.........Does anyone believe me yet ?.......Is anybody seeing it YET ?

But next year the media hounds will still be putting this lop in the same category as Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant (who have 11 rings between them), and they will still be hyping him as "The Best Player Ever To Play The Game"............Hahahahahaha, tell that to the city of Cleveland, and now add Miami to the mix.........This fool was gonna "take his basketball talents and skills to South Beach"............Yeah, but he forgot to take them to Dallas !!!

What a self-promoting bitch......There hasn't been a bigger self-promoting egotistical bitch since Madonna back in the 80's..........All hype and no talent........Oh sure, he might have been ahead of his age group as a high school kid, but the only thing he has proven at the pro Level is that he can't be a team player........He chokes and bitches when things don't go his way, and then he quits on them.........He still believes that the game is entirely about HIM............The only people that are as happy as me at the moment are Mark Cuban and the entire city of Cleveland............I'm laughing all the way to the bank !!!...........See you in the fall !!!

                      ;)

What do you get when you cross a 3 headed monster with attitude....?

The Miami Heat, they dont play like a team and I find it hard to believe they beat the bulls, who are one or two years away at this point.

Knew the Mavs were gonna win it the second Miami made fun of the dallas player for being sick and the Mavs had the ultimate bullentin board material needed. I cleaned up nice on this series
