Does anybody besides me think the Irish have a shot at the National championship this year? Lots of talent returning and I think the schedule favors them this year with most the tough games at home. Hey, I don't like them at all but I think they have an outside shot this year. I have been on a college football study marathon for the last few weeks.(hence all the posts). I also like several teams that before all the reading the last month or so, I wouldn't have given a chance to shine at all. I have watched every sec game last year in the last couple of months. Think I have them pegged as far as their potential. But have went further looking at divisions like the Mac and the Mountain west. (I never once thought about these guys before). Certainly not claiming to know who the best or worst is in these conferences, just trying to stay ahead the game..
I do like the Irish to have a great season and wouldn't surprise me at all if they make a run at a national championship. Of course the last time I thought about them being in the top five at the end of the season I think they lost 5-6 games that year.. SO TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT..
