  • TCU-Baylor

After further review, I like TCU to win tonight in Waco.

The final straw was the over-hype machine of Baylor's QB.

Seems like Baylor is a dog everyone is talking about all over but I think TCU's system and approach will win out in the end. If it was still at +6.5, I may have jumped on the Baylor bandwagon, but for now I am just going to lay the lumber and play TCU -170 on the ML to be safe.

Small play but I think TCU prevails in the end.

    You guys' thought?

    I'm not playing the game.

However, my opinion can be found here: http://www.bettorsworld.com/2011/tcu-baylor.htm

I prefer to sit back and watch. See how much improved Baylor. See how far TCU has fallen.

TCU has produced quality teams each and very year over the last decade. Baylor has, well, sucked.

The TCU defense has given up 12 points per game on average in 4 of the last 5 years.

Yeah, you can call the schedule into question, but they have beaten some heavyweights as well.....ie. Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl.

TCU lost several key skill position "starters", however, they didn't lose the entire team. There are still plenty of returning players that saw action last year and in previous years.

TCU won 45-10 last year. Has Baylor closed the gap that much? We'll see I guess.

A general rule of thumb that can only help you guys if you adhere to it, is to never take the worst of the number.

    or

Don't show up to the funeral if you weren't at the wedding.

In otherwords, don't take +3.5 on a game that you could have had +6.5. In the long run, it can only lead to losses.

From that perspective, the value is either on the TCU side, or it's a pass.

For me, it's a pass. But I'd lean towards TCU.

Just to add one more thing..........

There's likely to be some added juice and incentive for Baylor tonight. They haven't seen a game like this in quite some time at home......ESPN, Nationwide TV, the only game in town, etc.etc.......the fans should be in a frenzy....always worth a few points and another reason for me to be sitting on the sidelines here.

Well the over is already in b4 halftime! I guess TCU lost quite a bit on defense. Or Baylor is just that good on offense and they are whipped up into a frenzy!

Baylor 34-23 at the half. A lot of ball to be played and TCU has some pride. Baylor D is not good so anything can happen, especially if TCU makes some adjustments. 2H line will probably be TCU -7? Might be worth it, but I haven't been watching, so I really don't have a feel for it.

TCU went down by 24 and now back to 8 with lots of time to go. Winning the 2H by 3 now.

TCU up by 1. Baylor just imploded. Let's see if they can gather themselves and get the win.

Good to get the game of the year candidate out of the way so early in the season.
