Just my opinion and I know that the Browns suck; but I think Trent Richardson will make them pretty damn competitive right off the bat. Now am I saying playoffs? Of course not, but just much better. I have watched Bama for many years now and in my opinion he by far is the best back to ever come through Alabama. That includes Musso, Ingram, Jenkins, and Humphries.. He is a beast and Bama will miss him really bad. Hats off to the Brownie fans.. I hope you enjoy him with your team as much as I have with Alabama.. Good luck TRENT..

in nearly any other division I'd say it's a big boost but not here. They have so many issues. I'm not convinced in the QB or the WR or well or the browns.
They had Hillis when hillis was good and that didn't get them anywhere.

But if you're saying they'll be a little tougher... well they still look 1 dimensional. They'll need to do work in the air.

Yeah, regardless of how much they may have improved, they are still the 4th best team in their division. And in addition to having to play PIT, BAL and CIN twice each they have to play the NFC East plus the Chargers.....ouch!

As Red Raider has said Trent is a good pick up and was a great player at bama and Cleveland was lucky to pick him up. Will the Browns still suck? Yes but maybe they get a bit more competitive with this player.

I am not sure of Richardson's arm strength he has always looked to be a running QB first and a passer later.

Cleveland will be Cleveland but they will be a much better Cleveland because of Trent Richardson.. Now I do suck at the NFL but this guy is for real..

I can't argue with the fact that they will still be Cleveland. What I will say is that this is an extraordinary back. He in my opinion is the reason Alabama won two national championships in the last three years. I do know a little about Bama football and he again, in my opinion is the best back ever to come out of that program. No he won't make the Browns contenders right away, but you will know he is there.. Bank on this...

I certainly don't doubt it. In fact I find it extremely sad. He'll join the current ranks of AP and MJD on a team that will continually do the wrong thing outside of holding onto him.

Tell ya what though, it'll give people a good reason to cheer for the browns and who knows, maybe they'll be inspired and maybe somewhere in the next couple seasons they'll get something else right and be contenders.
You're right, it's a great pick and a great step forward and I'll enjoy watching him.

What is really special about this guy to me at least is his unselfishness. I never once heard anything negative while he was at Bama. Look forward to your picks Resteasy as well as Dragons and other NFL specialists on this site. I am probably one of the worst if not the worst at the NFL and maybe this whole post is a bias thing, but I truly believe this kid will leave his mark on the NFL.. Take care!!

I will go on record today and believe me I know I suck at the NFL but Trent Richardson will be in the end one of the top ten backs in NFL history.. Laugh if you want but I will have the last laugh.. He is that good... The best back to ever come out of Alabama and there have been many. Bobby Humphries, Gene Jelks, Johnny Musso, Mark Ingram, Shaun Alexander, Kenneth Darbey, Dennis Riddle, Tony Nathan (one of my favorites) Trent will be in the top ten best backs in the history of the NFL.. YEP HE WILL..HE IS THAT GOOD.. THAT IS WHY ALABAMA WAS..
