    Early College Looks week #2

    Well, Iowa tanked last week as they have no clue on offense yet. Was glad ISU could hold on and win it.

    Other early looks did ok going 3-2 for a total of 3-3, not that great.

    These are just my initial thoughts looking at the line quick and giving a gut reaction. Most turn into plays but some do not if I get other info or the line moves on me.

    For week 2---

    Here are some that jump off the page at me.

    Utah +3.5 over BYU--home dog--I am hoping to get 4 or I will buy it to 4.

    Boston College +4 VS. Northwestern

    Western Michigan +3 at Minny

    Troy +16.5 over Missy State

    My top choice is Utah.

    I am liking NW -3.5 over BC. NW is a pretty good team at home early in the season.

    I am leaning Auburn -16 over U L Monroe. Can they get up for another one after that big upset?

      FWIW

      Starting Senior Utah QB out for the season with broken arm. Back-up QB, had a 46% completion rate in loss to Utah St last week.
      Last season, BYU lost to Utah 54-10.

      At the moment the spread is +4 Utah, may increase to +5 or +6 by game time.

        AZ State at Missouri. The O/U is 61. I am loving the over in this track meet.

        Western Michigan at Minny, The gophers are favored by 2.5. This is not the WMU team of last year and Minny always plays tough at home. This big 10 team should cover this number easy.

        ND at Michigan State, the early line shows State a 5 point chalk. 9 out of the last 12 meetings between these two teams have been decided by 7 points or less including two over time games. Michigan State in my opinion is the best team in the big 10. I am still waiting to see where the line goes on this game. (Mark this as under study)

        Alabama at Arkansas, I cannot find a solid line on this game but early numbers I saw said Bama by 19. Arkansas star QB-Wilson has a collarbone injury he is also listed day to day with a concussion. (Mark this game under study)

          Thanks for the info guys. Epecially on Utah. I have not looked at that game close enough i guess. Appreciate it!

          I like Michigan state too.

          Also was leaning to auburn myself. La Monroe due for a letdown I think.

          Looking at some more too.

            From an earlier post, leaning towards SMU + over Tx A&M.
            Line is staying at 13/13.5, but I expected it higher since
            Baylor blew away SMU two weeks ago and A&M led Fla. going
            into the 4th Q last week.

              Yes. BYU looking for big time revenge here .. Probably win this thing by at least 10 ..

                Didn't Arkansas blow a 21 point lead after the QB went down?? Something tells me that W. Kentucky had a better showing against Bama than Arkansas will considering Bama was looking past W. KY to this " showdown"... Poor Razorbacks.That program sure did implode with the hiring of JL ..

                W. Kentucky seemed to have a bit of speed and who knows, could upset Kentucky this week as a 7 point dog ......

                I really like where Kelly seems to be taking the Irish. The guy can flat out get results. With that said, I will pass on this game Vs. the Spartans.

                Like the over in AZ st/Mizzu as well ..

                Like Tennessee over Fla.

                Fla st -28 ?? ..to blow the doors off Wake( a team I generally pull for) ...

                  You know what? I was looking at western Kentucky myself early this week. I think Kentucky overlooks them and it's a bigger game for wku. I like that upset call and will make that a at I think!
