As some of the people in this forum know abut 18 months ago I found out I was stage 4 throat cancer. I had a whole different view on luck and what was important. I started a new chemo drug and in the past 6 months I have been in remission. This site is great with some really great people and i enjoy the feedback very much. I have been blessed with the ultimate gift of all ...life. We all have our bad streaks and bad beats but when you think about it its very small in the big picture. Remembering the important things everyone reading this is a big winner. Enjoy your games and wagers and never lose sight that you, who are living walking breathing are a big winner.

It's amazing what they can do with some forms of cancer these days. I can't remember how many cases of remission I've heard of this year including my mom and my wife's brother. Congratulations!

Not a big holiday person but I enjoy bringing in the new year (although now that I'm retired I wish they'd slow down a little). So here's hoping everyone will have good health and happy times and lots of good luck!

Betting is a small part of my life and more if hobby that I still take satisfaction in when I can pick a winner but in the schme of things it's not all that important.

I'm with you Woodee! I get too caught up in it sometimes My downfall is I find myself putting $ down on a tv game that I don't really have a clue on, but like the thrill of pulling for one side over the other.
As daddyd put it so well, life is the much bigger picture, as I, and I am sure others here, have faced those types of issues. BE well, be safe, and may the New Year be good to all of us! Happy Holidays!

I am a month away from being 37. Been playing games since u was 23 or so.

55 years young here Gambling hobby since high school. Fortunately my wife of 35+ years married me even tho she knew that was my one vice. So able to get some Vegas trips in, and occasional local casino action from time to time.

I just turned 66, started betting NFL in 1979, I'm old but real good looking, lol.

I just turned the big 6-0h yesterday. I'm like The Boys though, I could probably pass for 50.

Turning 44 in about 5 weeks. I've been gambling since high school. Used to go the harness race tracks in Chicago for years on the weekends. I used to own harness racers for a couple of years in the mid90s when the purses were good. I used to fill out the bar parlay cards from an uncle in high school. Used to gamble when I could when I was young.

I will never forget the time I didn't go to Vegas for the Super Bowl and my buddy forgot to get my cash. And on January 26, 2003, I needed my gaming fixed and decided to go to a territory that would forever change my gambling lifestyle. That day I opened up an online sportsbook account. Now, I could bet on sports when I was not in Vegas!!!

Then when I was a co-worker with Carpet, he referred me to this site. And the rest is history!!!
