UAB eliminates football

In a bit of a shocker, UAB has eliminated its FBS football program, despite going 6-6 this year and being Bowl eligible

I don't know if the Blazers will get a Bowl game, but if they do, Id seriously look at betting the farm on them as it will be team full of players maybe looking for new homes. Investigating . . . .

....and even worse they're cutting bowling and rifle. Now there are 2 money-draining sports if I ever saw them. I mean, shoe rental used to be 10 cents and now it's what .... a buck?

Maybe SMU should follow in UAB's footsteps and give it up too.......or start paying players again. LOL!
