    Hi Boris,

    What happened? Beer run out?

    Big new operations?

    From where?

It looks like Read has improved their US Sports site. Anyone know if they are going to take US$ accounts. That's the only reason I won't play there.

        Sheik,

You can make your deposit in US dollars. It is then exchanged into Australian dollars. All your wagers will be made in Australian $.

apparently the DAS-US$ problem is related to credit cards, they can't find a bank down here that will transfer bucks in different currencies, which you have to be able to do if you are online.

AV, two on-line operations set to go ahead out West, and one perhaps in the very south. Can't say much more yet as I may have an interest in one of them.

An interest? Sounds like you are winning too much

West is interesting - presumably you mean other than the WA Tab delving into sportsbetting properly?

              AV,
Read your email and you may understand a little better. What I can tell you is that Kieren Glynn's AllSports is soon to go with online betting www.allsports.com.au

Hi BigMoney, Sheik, Alex & Boris,

Just to clear afew matters up. DAS does now accept deposits in US$ and accounts may be kept in US$. However, we cannot accept credit card deposits in US$ at this stage.
We have US$ bank accounts where transfers may be made to and payments are made from.

Wagers are then made in the currency that your account is held in.

Boris, How's things going these days? Drop me an email some time.

                Regards and Good Luck

                Aj

                  Boris,

Thanks. Glynn's is one on my list for AFL analysis.

                    Aj,

My account is currently in AUS$. So, can I change it to US$?

                    Thanks

AJ, my question is the same as Alex's: how can I convert my existing funds and account from AUS to USD? I'd trade the ability to deposit via credit card for the ability to keep funds in US$.

Certainly, please give us a call on 61 889 418330. Ask to speak to Tony@USSports and he'll be able to arrange that for you.

If you have any queries at all, please mail me. aj@international-allsports.com.au

Aj, thanks for the info. But before I call and transfer the funds into US$, I'd like to know if I'll see the same lines and get the same good customer service that I have been getting so far with DAS. It almost seems as if I'll be transferred to another division.

There is at least one other sportsbook (British) that has a very good International online service, and a separate division specifically for US customers that does not have a very good customer service record.

speaking from experience, it won't be the currency that determines which dept you deal with, just the sport

                              Hi BigMoney,

As Boris rightly stated, the specific sport determines which department you are dealt with at IAS. Currency does not come into it. Having you account in USD means that you will get the same service as if it was in AU$.

                              I hope that this helps.

                              Regards
