Lance, trust me i wasn't posting to "stir things up", merely i thought that your method of "touting" your sportsbook lacked tact.

I agree with you these forums are intended for an open exchange of viewpoints and opinions. I took offence to your blatant attempts at advertising, nothing more, nothing less.


In addition, I am the last person who looks for trouble. That being said I understand if you deem my response “argumentative” or rude. However, before accusing me of being a troublemaker, take a look at your posts over the last few days, after getting past the blatant ads for your sportsbook, you will find that you attacked at least 4-5 (conservative estimate) people.

You now find the need to attack me, why? You don’t know who I am; I don’t have an account with you guys, and stopped playing into your lines when my partner closed off his account midway through last CFL season. Even if I did bet baseball, I would be hesitant in sending my “small” plays your way because I disagree with the way you conduct your business.

In addition I never proclaimed myself to be the “totals king” but thank your buddy Steve for the thought.

As for me waiting to “become a man” and the guy who “never bets big anything” (sic) I always said that any book petty enough to use a posting forum as a means of advertising is a book that won’t see any of my money, (no matter how "small" you characterize my units).

You have characterized me as young, (again hardly relevant) and deemed my wagers small, But if my wagers were “so small” why did you guys decide to put up your CFL totals later and later midway thru last season? Surely it couldn’t have been that you guys were afraid of my partner and I.

A couple of inexperienced, right out of graduate school guys didn't scare the big bad skybook. Did they?

What about your initial foray into bettorsworld, did you learn anything about IP addresses? You also dismissed Fred's complaints as without base, but weren't they supported by "an industry leader" in Don Best?

I also find it humorous that you told boomer that you "don't need the business that bad" in response to his request of a 1/2 point deal, yet you feel the need to scrawl your telephone number across this bulletin board as if it were a nightclub urinal.

I could go on and on, but really i find this rather boring. It would seem however that you do not, you seem to revel in it. I now understand why you didn't have enough time to research other sportsbooks' limits and attempted to illicit some help from myself and others. You were far too busy posting 250 times (10 of which were to be your "final posts") in the last few months.

As for me misreading the "seriousness" of the 10 cent line issue - You are right, I don't deem it as being that serious at all. Its a poor attempt at collusion, and it won't work, already a handful of books have come forward and declared that they would continue to use a 10 cent line.

Rather, i feel that the "seriousness" of the issue has been overstated by yourself. In my opinion you are using this "issue" in an attempt to lionize yourself as the "peoples" book, and drum up business in the process, thats just my opinion.

Like I said 100m times already to the 3 and 3 only people who have started trouble with me already. State facts please. Your the expert all of a sudden. Pull one shread of evidence where i initiated anyhting controversal. When you done and realize you cant find NOT ONE SINGLE TIME be like Fred , realize you cant manipulate this forum and pack it in little guy.
Just as i would never think to approach you after any of your posts, who or what made you think its o.k. to start with me. I see over and over times when a post is asked to a specific book or person and there comes PHAEDRUS along with the answer or his opinion. This annoys the hell out of me. I never said a word and never thought it was my place to say anything. Why would I jump in and tell you this? I dont know you. You can do what ever you want and you shouldnt have to be subject to my insults becasue I dont agree with you.

DONT CALL IT. Isnt that simple. You admit it yourself you have no idea about betting baseball and again if you did you would understand how very serious this issue is.( oh yeah your a flag football total expert or whatever it was you just said. Flag football has taken off so well and everybook can probably even name a team within 10 minutes. Wow maybe 1 out of 20 books even use it. Your such and expert at it and its so big you even need a partner for this.)
Trust me this baseball issue is very , very serious. As has been discussed many bettors win during baseball and so that means many books lose. If this is done the bettors wont win anymore. If you dont like the topic or the thread stop reading it. That is basically all I ever said or meant.
Lastly and since your such a numbers guy. Maybe use your partner for the math help. How many people felt the need to( insult me) jump in and say they didnt like the way I post or how I post? how many people do this looking for trouble when they can just ignore the posts like everyone else?
Now (sharp guy) how many people jumped in to say they like the way I post and really like what I have to say? When you are done using all your numbers skills to do the math you will have a really simple answer. You will know real clear why I post the way I do and why I will keep posting.
First and formost I enjoy the forums and learn a lot from them, and if your done with the math yet a lot of people enjoy my posts and learn a lot from them.
As far as your controversy theory over the last 3 days you are totally wrong again. I had 2 other people( other books no less, which is so unprofessional it in itslef says something about their books) post insuts for no reason. I responded. The same goes for you. Please dont try to manipulate this forum. It simply doesnt work. If you are simply looking for trouble you better get a lot more facts and then get them straight.
Again as far as you playing or not playing with Skybook . Thats your choice. That is the the beauty of this forum and the business. I couldnt agree more that we can disagree in these threads and they can still be productive. The thing is lets disagree on the issues or topics. Lets be adults. Lets not go looking for trouble becasue we have nothing better to do. Surely you have better things to do. I reread your post becasue there were so many incorrect statements I couldnt remember them all the first time around. Your accusing me of using this site to advertise. (I cant stop laughing.) That is such a well thought out post especially in a site that stays a float because of the dollars spent on it by the books advertising in it. I do advertise and you are correct . Its right down there with the 30 other books who advertise.
As far as why I post in the forum ,because I love the forum. It entertains and educates me everyday. I assume that is the same reason you and the 2 other trouble makers post. We are all entitled to post. I do it simply becasue I like to post like the thousands of others who post here.

Please stop looking for trouble simply to look for trouble and when you post use facts and make a lot more sence.

Yes my friend it is up and running. Click the bootom of the screen to see it. I dont know much about it to tell you the truth. I think the minimun is $10 and the max is $3000.
We only have the max to avoid the sydicates or followers take advantage of the number online. the same reason everybook has the max limit. If its just someone betting their own stuff we can change that for them.
I am not really an expert in this area. I hope I answered your question. If not give the office a call. They will help you better.

First question I am truely honored by. That is a really high compliment. You enjoy my posts so much that you enter my threads and read them to see what educational and entertaining things I have to say. I have such an impact on you without even ever meeting you that I have you sitting around thinking about how and why I spend my time.

Next question about whats the big deal with the baseball line the 10 cent difference. Well I guess your not a big baseball bettor, but here is an example. The extra

10 cents would be like you losing $120 instead of $110 on a $100 wager on a football game. Its about money.

Your next question shouldnt be for me at all. the "you guys" your refering to has nothing to do with me. I did not organize the meeting and I dont want to go. I do not believe in monopolys either.

I still don't know which cheap shot you think I made at you, but it's not important. I don't really care what you think about my book or the fact that I don't identify it. I have my reasons. One thing you need to watch out about with this Big ten cent line deal. The books that still offer the 10 cent line might be kicked off the Don Best screen. That's what I think, and I've heard rumors that that will be a subject of this meeting here in March. You think the wiseguys would get upset? ha ha!! I'm leaving for an 8 week vacation tomorrow, so feel free to bag on me while I won't write back.
