Dana lost his temper because he was personally attacked in a vicious, uncalled for way. His response in this situation was very understandable and forgivable. And, being a gentleman, he apologized.
Dana has posted in Bettorsworld for quite awhile. Although I haven't always agreed with him, I do respect him and appreciate his desire to respond to questions and criticisms. The bottom line is that the man has provided a wonderful service for sportsbettors and that he is constantly working to make it better.
This situation reminds me of the one that I experienced in Bettorsworld several months ago. A self-admitted punk who posted under the handle of "PHD" came into Bettorsworld for the first time and ripped me.
When I responded and took him on, it became obvious that the guy was a paper tiger with no punch. His argument had no specifics and he had nothing positive whatsoever to offer Bettorsworld. And he really made a fool of himself when he offered a bogus baseball betting angle in a futile attempt to prove himself.
Who is DoubleJJ and what, exactly, does he offer Bettorsworld? All I've seen so far are some cheap shots with no substance. Most of us in Bettorsworld are very open-minded. If someone presents a logical argument and facts, we listen. There are no sacred cows here. Reputations are made or destroyed in Bettorsworld over time. The Cream of the Crop
not only pertains to sportsbooks, it also applies to posters. For example, when Boomer took on Action Sports, I had no doubt from the get-go that he was in the right. Over time, Boomer has earned my respect and trust. And so has Dana. DoubleJJ, on the other hand, has only earned my Double Disrespect for: 1) Bad Attitude and 2) Bad Argument.
Polemics is not a winnable game for the unsophisticated. Therefore, my advice to you DoubleJJ is: If you want to make a positive mark in Bettorsworld, try upgrading both your form (self-presentation) and facts ( substance).
