How about a completely different idea?

IMHO it depends who your target population is. Someone has already mentioned that the world 'sportsbook' is largely a North American-only word. Might not be obvious to many of us illiterate Euros who have bookmakers instead.

If you're targetting Europeans, try an alternative approach and for something more personal like the name of the owner?

The obvious European example is Victor Chandler, but there are many other 'name' bookmakers/sportsbooks in the UK/Europe: Stan James, William Hills, Bowmans, Ladbrokes [I think it was a surname, will probably be corrected].

By personalising your organisation, it creates a impression of trustworthiness of the organisation for the prospective punter, that there is one person they can approach directly. This is something that Victor Chandler and Gary Bowman play on particularly.

Europeans might take to it more than a grand/clever name for an impersonal institution.
