Jay, I've always wanted to tell you how much I admire you. You have the support of every individual in this country with either a heart or a brain. Unfortunately you have learned there are many lacking either! I hope soon this will all just be a bad dream for you and you awaken a free man. Best wishes!

Some agents don't make just a "few extra dollars." I know some who have become millionaires. Guys who can bring in super heavy-duty losers to sportsbooks can make a mint. For them, the money is worth the risk.

An agent can make more than a "few dollars." I know some who have become millionaires. Those who can bring multiple heavy-duty, high-roller losers into books can make huge bucks. For many of these agents, the money has been well worth the risk.

sir reno et el :i dont want to sound like iam just running off the mouth as you are basically implying.the truth be known is that i have used sky for a time through an agent that i trust,he informed me that they were giving him the run around and owed him big.he told me that they were about to go under and don best was taking them off the screen.as this HAPPENED ,i thought he was on to something and i know he still has not been paid.so the two facts were 1 the agent was Owed money 2 they were taken off the screen..when i read "smartplayer posts" on the subject it rang a bell and i spoke maybe out of turn.I WAS NOT AND DO NOT START OR SPREAD RUMOURS AND WHAT I SAID WAS THE TRUTH ALTHOUGH TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT BY YOU . GOOD BYE......D.F

Irish, did you ever call Skybook and ask them for their take on the situation with your agent? Also, Skybook supposedly went to all post-up last baseball season. Even a really big-name guy was told to post up, and he declined and quit playing with them.

I could imagine a lot of possibilities in this situation. One is that the agents were really pissed about being cut out, so they said that they were being stiffed or slow-payed when it was not true.

Another is that the agents were telling the truth, and that is the reason that the book went all post-up.

How many post up players do you think post 500,000 to play 20,000 a game. Yes there are some that do, but I gurantee that number is miniscule. All the stores that take a lot of big numbers have credit customers. Maybe not on sheets or with agents but privates. Skybook even said it on his post he will give credit to STORES that will give him credit.

Reno obviously they did not go to an all post-up business as i have credit through my agent and its reasonably high in my oppinion.I did not call sky as i did not feel it was my place and my guy has always paid me,i happened to know the facts i posted from conversation with him and several other agents in the new york and north jersey area.i wish i had never brought it up but i actually thought i found a sort of union here were bettors help each other . now i think the site is infiltrated with more books than punters.my appologies to anybody i may have offended and i will never post anything again.....Sincerely D.F.

                          Irish

Not looking to get embroiled in your issues,
but I've stated many times in these threads that (from my observation)this Rave's and Rant forum has a greater active participation from the bookmaking side than the players side.

Also----I'm not really convinced either that the players are truly the "silent majority" we hear administrators talking about with regards to all the readers of this forum. Much of this forum's "slant" , biases and information comes from the bookmakers self-interest and perspective. I'm not objecting to that because I find that unique and interesting, but it just must be recognized the source of many of these posts.
