Reality, if you earned for 10 years what I'm now earning, you'd be a retired mult-millionaire or own your own sportsbook. You wouldn't be an employee. I make more now than I ever did with my own Vegas operation in the 80s. I'm making 4 to 5 times as much as I did two years ago when I first got started betting offshore. Also, I know a scalper who makes a lot more than I do.(No, it isn't Boomer.) The opportunity now is unprecedented. If someone has a few hundred dimes to work with, the Don Best Screen, 30 outs, and a feel for which way the lines will move, there is good money to be made. Not big sportsbook-owner, Poker Players or Billy Walters-type money, but good money.
Also, I've done plenty of middling in the past, including part of last basketball season. And I may do it again this coming season. But scalping better fits my immature and superficial nature, which is dependent on immediate gratification and cheap thrills.
Endorsing a list of books in this forum is redundant. Bettorsworld already does that. That is their profession. Aside from Skybook, Vegas books, and a couple of fantatic privates I've recently added, every book I now play with is on the Bettorsworld Cream of the Crop List. Why re-invent the wheel?
I'd love to learn something new about betting sports, something rooted in math that pertains to actually creating a superior betting line. Unfortunately, no one has presented that kind of information in this forum or in the "Other Forum." However, you did post some of your cheap dime-a-dozen angles--that don't win--in the "Other Forum." Thank you for not polluting Bettorsworld with them.
