Winbig, you should be able to open an account without any major difficulties, though I will inquire about that.

Reno, unfortunately juice is something that the books over here are not keen on altering. I think they work like a cartel, holding their traditional 40-cent lines in unison. The good thing though is that if you walk into a betting office you could lay several hundred grand on the table - limits are practically nonexistent. On the net it's an entirely different story though. Another good thing is that British books will give odds on anything. You can make up a bet, and they'll get back to you with the odds.

But at the end of the day you and me are more interested in things like lower vig and high-limit internet betting. If you do like to scalp though, it's possible to get decent scalps even from 40-cent lines. Just out of curiosity, when you're making moneyline scalps, what is the minimum line difference before you decide to scalp?

      AV,

Just because they are offering Russsian D3, Luxemburg D4, Thai league cup, or whatever that maybe, it doesn't mean a jack to me.

It really has nothing to do with the fact that you are offering 40 cents lines on the major leagues (which are mainly the bettors will be interested at).

      Variety? Yes.

Competitive? Well, when you will compare them with Interwetten, Worldbet, Eurobet, B & W, etc.

Oh yeah, they are very competitive. But wait a minute, will you compare Olympic with them?

      High limit? For $500?

      I don't think so.

        Ray,

Seeing I doubt you are betting that much on the leagues where the limit is that low, then why do you have a problem with it?

40c lines on soccer are certainly better than nearly anywhere else, being on the order of a 109% market (barring Canbet) which is anywhere from 2-3%, to 15% better than most places.

I am not quite sure why you are so aggressive about this?

/4/00 1:15:00 PM Gladbach vs Ulm
          101 Gladbach -130
          102 Ulm +295
103 Gladbach vs Ulm Tie +230

looks like about 112% to me, which is pretty good on a lower division league.

If you aren't interested in their variety, you don't need to bet there if all you want to bet on is the Premier League, or Serie A, or whatever.

Still, few places will give you better than 112%.

AYCE, for the last time: for the major soccer leagues we offer a 30-cent line for totals, not a 40-cent one.

which is something not many other places will do

Megasports had midweek premier league totals only - they were 1.88, so that is a 30c line plus their usual 1c better - they were 1.90 previously though

Canbet had none at all, other places 1.85

PC, I have to apoligise for complaining about the 3.5 goal line. It all makes sense, especially when you have matchups with teams like Man U. Sorry for that.

I think the only thing I would like to see changed is the limits. I think I could only bet $500, would raising it to $1,000 be possible? Or maybe implement a system as BlueSq had, where you could bet the limit again, but only after a 15 minute break, allowing the book to adjust the line if they see a need to do that?

But when it comes to tennis, you guys blow away the European competition without a doubt. Ladbrokes, the second biggest if not the biggest name in the world of sportsbetting, will only take $750 on a side. Here at Oly I could get $2600 or $2800. Ladbrokes is quite simply a joke, and innovative sportsbooks like Oly will continue to take over their business piece by piece.

BTW, how's the availability of Zlaty Bazant over in the Caribbean? Also, could you make a post describing your entire experience of moving to the Caribbean: trip, first thoughts on landing, everyday life, etc. I would be extremely interested if you could share your experiences with us all.

                  Cons,

I'm going to have to keep the 500 USD over the internet for now, BUT:

                  1) I'll take up to 2 dimes on the side and 1 dime on the total over the phone, and,

                  2) Once the price adjusts (for whatever reason) your limit on the internet resets itself to 500 USD again. Also, if the price doesn't change your limit resets itself to 500 the next day again.

Let me think about it and I'll see if I can raise the bar on some of the bigger leagues. The trouble there is that with our software if I want to raise the limits for the Premiership to 1000, then all the lower divisions get the same limit. I know players hate the software excuse, but it's the truth and it's not so easy to fix.

Re: my experiences here I'll be happy to do a write up sometime when I get a chance but I'm not sure that's exactly on topic for the forum ... any opinions Jeff?

It would be great if you could make a post here in this thread about your experience. About the limits, I fully understand. Can you please tell me how the system works as far as resetting the limits goes? I understand that I can bet again the next day, right? But what constitutes the 'next day'? Is it a) 24h since I place the bet, meaning that I have to wait 24h exactly to the minute b) next day as soon as we hit midnight zulu time (GMT) c) midnight Montego Bay time

Apart from that, good luck on soccer and tennis, and enjoy yourself while you're at it

Cons, also, if you hadn't thought of it, consider the 2.5 and 3.5 differential.
Notwithstanding the fact they are currently scoring over 3 goals a game in the Premier League.

I would think that if Thai prostitution gets a run, the experiences of a bookmaker in the West Indies might be perhaps too much on topic.

and Ray, if you just want some nice handicap lines go and play at Canbet

you still won't get all these totals though.

oh yeah Ray, and DAS has had fair dinkum online Asian lines on the Premier League

well, not quite, as 1.94 either way, but still pretty bloody good.

If that isn't good enough for you, then perhaps time to go hang out with the Blue Blazer Irregulars in the 8th dimension
