      Scotty -

      Congratulations -

You have always been really good with the lines - which is bad news for bettors.

This position is a perfect fit for you.

Anyway - let me know how to get in touch with you.

ShiftyShiek...We have many clients throughout the islands. Some of the big stores I might add. LVSC also has accounts in Austrailia, The UK, Canada and Mexico and hopefully others that I'm looking at.

DrunkenGoon...My first priority is to make sure our #s are the very best. Mabey a notch tighter. The kids that work at LVSC do a good job considering they put out #s on every sport every day. Now they must also do Nascar, golf, soccer, etc. Its an awsome responsibility but they are up to it.

Zip...I'll have an e-mail address tomorrow. I always had plenty of GOOD help with #s. My strength has been putting them up, taking bets and moving them. That requires a good feel. Most places in the past followed the #s posted on the boards wherever I was. Now I'm entering the process at a different point is what it comes down to...Scotty

Scott, what do you mean that DonBest has most of the players? Do you mean handicappers?

                Scott,
Congrats! Can you tell me what rotation you will using for LVSC? Also what happened to your friend Phil Herrington? Is he now with you?

I don't blame the books for complaining about the numbers they receive. The people at LVCS are nothing more than frustrated unsuccessful bettors. In fact I see one of them around town all the time making $50 bets. Talk about a conflict of interests. And minds like these are setting the lines for the rest of the world? How sweet it is for people like Reno and Ronbets!

In my opinion it's all about money. Now what could LVCS afford to pay someone like B.W. and his crew to set the lines? What would the books be willing to pay? Now you know old B.W. ain't gonna go for a deal like that unless he were to make more than he's making now. So God only know how much money we're talking about here.

Meanwhile Scott is coming back on the scene. He commands the utmost respect from me. Nevertheless I think what you'll find today Scott is something a little bit different than when you were behind the counter before. The market is flooded with wiseguys and not enough squares.

Personally I hope you and your crew can tighten up the numbers somewhat. That will help the industry in the long run. As for me I'm going to win no matter who they have setting the line unless somebody makes B.W. an offer he can't refuse. And that ain't likely.

Why don't they get somebody like Reno or Ronbets to help make the numbers and assist Scott? Surely then the market would tighten up. Maybe I'd have to get a real job. Now we know Reno would work cheap. Get him a couple of Asian babes a few times a week and he'd be happy. As for Ronbets they might have to up the ante somewhat.

Sportshobby...Players are just that. They play. Don Best has earned the bulk of that business. He distributes the #s that can be played into at the top books in the Islands & Las Vegas. LVSC is primarily in the oddsmaking business and distributing #s before they hit the DB screen.

AV2...Throw CSW in the mix. Then the whole group is owned by Sportsline.com. DBC is on the way out. They are not interested in sports. They bought Roxy out then let the company go to ****. We now have to fix what they left us. It's do-able.

Johnny...Thanx bud. You must be in the loop because I just talked to Phil yesterday! He is in the midst of a career move. We are going to use both rotations when our new system is ready. Till then status quo.

Shawnee...I'm glad to have earned your respect. That's more important to me than picking a winner.

Your post brings up a very important point. Lets say LVSC makes the worst #s in the history of the known world. The sportsbooks dont have to use them. We dont put #s up. We sell our opinion. The sportsbooks can adjust them, use additional opinions or make their own #s...Scotty

p.s. As a player you should be happy the #s are so bad.

Scotty, congrats on the new job. My request is that you hang totals on all college foots and baskets. Thailand is a pretty interesting place, but I don't think Roxy will stay forever. Hard to get down on baskets with the time difference.

Life sure has some strange twists. Scotty was near the top of his profession. Then due to no fault of his own he gets the shaft. Slowly but surely he is working his way back to the top where he should have been all along.

As for Roxy he went from a one-time hippy to a successful corporate executive to a retired multi-millionaire. Now he can afford to live his life in any fashion he chooses and what does he do? He pretty much goes back to being a hippy. Amazing!
