12-10 YTD college hoops

Monday:

Iowa State +3 at Drake...Another battle of Iowa teams. Iowa State Stunk it up at home vs. Fresno State so I think the oddsmakers are taking that into account a bit too much. Drake is a tough, defensive minded team well-coached by Tom Davis. I see a very tight, competitive game but think Iowa State will come out on top-Just too much talent with Stinson running wild all game. Line has moved to Drake all day and I may lay more if the + line for ISU keeps creeping up. Basically an even up game i my opionon so there is value with ISU +.

I'll be back later with what I have for Tuesday. Looking at the Iowa/Northern Iowa game hard right now. Leaning towards the Hawks +1 right now.

Hey Woodie. I'm looking at that N Iowa/Iowa game as well. I hate the fact that N Iowa is favored by 1. You know what that usually means with the Unranked favored over ranked theory.

Here is what I have for Tuesaday. Looked at the board quite a bit today (just didn;t feel like working too hard) and found a few that I liked and others that are close but still don;t have a feel for them.

What I played for $$$ at my book:

Iowa +1 at Northern Iowa...Kind of the same premise as last night with Iowa State. In the end, just too much talent with Iowa and with that talent Iowa also has the added experience factor that helps on the road. UNI hung tough with Iowa State in Ames but ISU eventually pulled away. UNI's jacobsen is one of the best in the conference but I think Horner can handle him on the perimeter. Brunner is a bit underrated inside and Huluska is just a good overall player (who I dislike becasue he left Iowa State during the Larry Eusachy Drink with the college Kids tour). Anyway, see a close game with the hawks experience being the factor that helps them win on the road.

UAB -1 (bough 1/2) at Depaul...Looks like a big public play which scares me but UAB should be able to win on the road here.

Rhode Island -2 vs. Manhatten...Good, defensive minded RI team facing a team that has struggled offensively.

This is great.....you guys know your stuff and I know for a fact that the best chance of makin' money in this crazy game we play is through college hoops....think I'll just kick back and side with your picks for awhile until the NFL playoffs come around.....That's where I usually get my rent money for the year.....Keep 'em coming......Boone.

Wednesday plays

2-1 yesterday
YTD: 14-5

Going with two plays tonight.

CMU/ Dayton under 128

I will continue to chase the Chipps under the number despite taking a hit on this theory vs. Miami the other night. Dayton can apply good pressure and Chipps will struggle to score once again


Portland St. +5'

I really believe that the wrong team is favored here. I am cognizant of the fact that the Vikings have not fared well on the Pilots floor, but think that this might be their year to go in and steal one. I'll probably toss a couple of bucks on the ML as well.

2 of my losses could have went either way. UAB controlled most of the game and Iowa/UNI went to OT. And the teaser teased me again winning 2 of 3 with the Hoosiers gets shocked at Indy State.

Here is what I have for Wednesday:

Colorado State +9 at Kansas State..Just too many points here for a good CSU team.

Virginia Commonwealth -3 vs. Hofstra...Have my eye on VCU this year. Have a experienced, talented team but haven;t shown it yet. I think tonight they will bust out to a big home win.

Georgia Tech +3 (bought 1/2)...Just have to take the points here. Line has went towrds Georgia all day but still like the Yellow Jackets to win SU.

Mizzou +6 at Davidson...Like carpet, I see this as a closer game than 6.
