      POST SEASON RECORD 8 - 7 - 2

      Things didn't quite pan out as we'd have liked, but it was still a good post-season run, and although the poster above "Khandor" makes some good and logical points, you can't exactly say that my picks were a "disaster" when you figure that most of the wins (7 out of the 8) came as underdogs..........So anybody that's been keeping track or playing along, knows that the wallet is far from being in a disastrous situation.

      * * * * * *

      Instead of getting deeper into a series that is already over, we'll post the World Serices thread later today, in hopes of making the kind of money we're accustomed to -- so stay tuned.

        Boone,

        You do a good job with your selections and I would never want to have anyone else think I believe otherwise. Your picks, thus far, have certainly not been disasterous; not by a longshot.

        If you could, please interpet what I said more like this, instead:

        If you hadn't made the "series call" on Colorado, in advance, I think you would have been more likely to play Boston in those last three games, at those prices, with Beckett, Schilling and Matsuzaka on the mound for the Red Sox, but ... because you didn't wish to put yourself into a bind, calling Colorado in advance and then siding with Boston in Game 5, 6 & 7, despite numbers which were favorable to the Beantown Boyz ... you ended up not cashing in on 3 Boston winners you might otherwise have been on, which is not a "good thing" (a recipe for disaster?) in the long run. That's all.

        In general, keep up your good work.

        PS ... looking forward to your take on the WS.

          You're right Khandor, you're exactly right...........I was/am in denial that's all............And I posted that prior post out of my own frustration..............I stood to make a pretty nice killing if Colorado had met Cleveland in the series, but because of my own stubborness to admit that the momentum had clearly shifted in favor of the Sox after Beckett's domination in Game 5 -- indeed costed me a chance to back up my bet, like most smart players would have done............Good points you make, and keep your insight coming, as it is a nice attribute to the forum..........Good Luck to you.
