ROMO-MANIA
Having watched all year as my posting buddies "J-Pal" and "Cowboyfan 2" live it up with the success the Cowboys have had, I must finally "fess-up" and jump in on the "can't beat 'em -- join 'em" bandwagon...........The 'Boys have had a pretty successful year ATS so far, and things don't figure to change any time soon...........Sure, they failed to cover against the Lions last week, but that was pretty much expected -- having watched the line open far too high for a team playing on the road in a game they really couldn't be too high for, after just dispensing their closest conference rival just 10 days earlier.
Aside from the fact that the Dallas squad has become the NFC's edition of the New England Patriots (high scoring offenses with questionable defenses), I think the whole point being missed in all of this, is the coming of age of this Tony Romo kid...............I know, I know, he showed all the signs of being a great one with the talent he showed in his first season, but this kid truly is becoming the second coming of Steve Young..........Scrambling from defenders, checking off at the line, reading defensive fronts, pocket awareness and all of the necessary tools along with the quickness and power that you just don't see in your everyday average QB...........A couple of those passes he mastered in Sunday's game in Detroit were dream-like.........This kid is the shit.
Now I know many sportsbooks I visit are currently offering the NFC vs. AFC prop bet where you can bet the Super Bowl now and have the NFC with 14 points to start the game.........And many observers will point to the fact that the Patriots showed their mastery over the sport by putting Dallas out of their misery by the start of the 4th quarter when they met earlier in the season........but you may have seen a New England team that peaked too early, and a Dallas team just now rising to it's highest potential..........Either team can score whenever they want to, but if this Wade Phillips guy can find a way to get his 'Boys to play a little defense, I'm thinking of jumping in on the 14 points and praying for rain !!!
It's gonna be a goodie.........Good Luck to you.
