    ROMO-MANIA

Having watched all year as my posting buddies "J-Pal" and "Cowboyfan 2" live it up with the success the Cowboys have had, I must finally "fess-up" and jump in on the "can't beat 'em -- join 'em" bandwagon...........The 'Boys have had a pretty successful year ATS so far, and things don't figure to change any time soon...........Sure, they failed to cover against the Lions last week, but that was pretty much expected -- having watched the line open far too high for a team playing on the road in a game they really couldn't be too high for, after just dispensing their closest conference rival just 10 days earlier.

Aside from the fact that the Dallas squad has become the NFC's edition of the New England Patriots (high scoring offenses with questionable defenses), I think the whole point being missed in all of this, is the coming of age of this Tony Romo kid...............I know, I know, he showed all the signs of being a great one with the talent he showed in his first season, but this kid truly is becoming the second coming of Steve Young..........Scrambling from defenders, checking off at the line, reading defensive fronts, pocket awareness and all of the necessary tools along with the quickness and power that you just don't see in your everyday average QB...........A couple of those passes he mastered in Sunday's game in Detroit were dream-like.........This kid is the shit.

Now I know many sportsbooks I visit are currently offering the NFC vs. AFC prop bet where you can bet the Super Bowl now and have the NFC with 14 points to start the game.........And many observers will point to the fact that the Patriots showed their mastery over the sport by putting Dallas out of their misery by the start of the 4th quarter when they met earlier in the season........but you may have seen a New England team that peaked too early, and a Dallas team just now rising to it's highest potential..........Either team can score whenever they want to, but if this Wade Phillips guy can find a way to get his 'Boys to play a little defense, I'm thinking of jumping in on the 14 points and praying for rain !!!

It's gonna be a goodie.........Good Luck to you.

Regardless what the weather is ... I can easily see the Patriots winning this game by 40.

When Bill Belichick has to cough up $500,000 of his own money because Eric Mangini files a certain report about a certain series of events from a game earlier this season to the NFL's Head Office ... then, this follow-up game is going to get ugly.

OK, OK, so you guys took a real "header" behind that Jessica Simpson horseshit (in more ways than one ), but I still say the 'Boys beat the shit out of Eli and the G-Men this weekend with room to spare..........The spread offense will once again be too much for the secondary-less Giants, and they got away lucky last week by playing against a Tampa Bay team that sent out a QB that had played twice in that last 5 games..........You just can't get it done like that.............I'll have much more to say on this as the week passes, but for now, this looks like one of the easier games of the week.........Cowboys roll............Good Luck and stay tuned...........

I still get the feeling that the Pats are not going undefeated. Which means they either lose to the winner of the Colts/Chargers game or they lose the Super Bowl . Hopefully, they lose to the Chargers

Hey Dragon, good to hear from you...........It's just my usual cocky opinion but, the only team with half-a-chance at beating the Patriots are the Indianapolis Colts...........The Chargers won't make it out of Indy without a tow-truck on Sunday, and the Jags don't posess the defense necessary to stop New England's steamrolling offense by any means............They almost got beat by the Willie Parker-less Steelers in a game they had well in hand at one point...........Granted, the Patriots defense is also a little shaky at best - and this is why the Colts (if they play their best game) can spring the upset..........If they don't, then sit back and witness history in the making, along with the records they have already set, the 21st century's version of the Joe Montana-led 49er's will be one tough team to beat in the Super Bowl come February 3rd..........I'll be posting a thread later for all of the games this weekend and hope to grab your opinions along with many others........Good Luck !!
