5-2 on the day...things went pretty well. Rode a duke/pitt 1h parlay, and some extra on pitt in the 2h, plus pitt for the game. Today was a good day. A little surprised by the Iowa output. It was embarassing to watch. UMass scared me but I jumped on the bandwagon of people that were very high on them. After losing to St. Joe's who isn't bad either just shows me that they aren't that much better than an average team.

        Updated YTD:
        NBA 12-6
        CBB 46-43

        5-3 college
        0-1 NBA--Lakers are HOT!

        Losses were:

        Davidson
        Tulane
        Rhode Island

Gald I stuck with Pitt as they dominated.

Almost jumped on Ohio State but backed off in the end. I tell you, Iowa, is not a good team. First year coach, and not much talent.

One play that jumped out at me fro Thursday:

Arl-LR -4 over La-Laf...Think this line jumps. LAF is 4-0 in the confernece but kind of smoke and mirrors. First conf. road game here against better team.

One more for now--May be back later with more--

New Mexico State +4.5 at Boise...bought to +5. Should be a good game. NM state ahs played good schedule and should be up for road test. Could win SU.

              Some picks for todays games:

Cleveland State -2.5....Detroit just isn't that good. If Cleveland state wins..with free throws down the stretch they should cover. I see this game around a 6 point victory for Cleve St.

West Virginia +2 vs Louisville....They aren't as good on the road..but I still think they are a better team than Louisville. Louisville really doesn't have any quality wins on the year but they are tough at home. I took West Va on the money line.

North Texas -1.5 vs Arkansas State ***** this is my play of the day. Made a 5 unit wager on this one. Their offense is too good. In a score fest they win. Essentially if they win, they cover. This line started at -3...must be a lot of money going on the other side..but at 1.5 I love North Texas.

UWGB +15 vs Butler....Butler should win by about 10...I think UWGB does enough to keep from really getting blown out. Throw in the Butler hasn't had many rout victories, even against teams that they should have routed..I like UWGB all day.

Wisc - 10.5 vs Illinois...Illinois is awful..plus the line started at -12. At 12 it was iffy for me..but at 10.5 I love Wisconsin. They should lead by 8-10 all game..possibly more. Plus Wisconsin is the home team. Illinois has shown me nothing to make me believe that they can keep this game close. My only concern in this one is what I saw from Wisconsin against Michigan the other day. Wisconsin lead by as many as 25 I believe..but at about the halfway point of the 2nd half Michigan had the game under 12 and wasn't getting covered. Wisconsin ended up pulling away again but its possible that Wisconsin may be a team that doesn't play well with a big lead...which means that being up 10 is ideal because then they can pull away..being up 20 may lead to a let down and a non-cover.

Where is Carpet? He is the Illinois master. Think I will pass on this one.

Like your North Texas play. Just don't know if I can pull the trigger on them. Both are good teams and kind of a toss up on the road.

Adding Cal-Santa Barb -1 over Cal irvine to my plays. Trying to figure this one out and hope I am not missing anything.

B 8:00PM North Texas -1 at Arkansas State
CBB 8:30PM Western Kentucky at UL Monroe +6½
CBB 8:30PM Montana +4½ at Northern Arizona

Adding these last 3. Gonan bite on N Texas after looking at it a bit more.

UL monroe has 3 sold scorers who can keep them in the game at home.

Montana has under achieved this year after promising expectations and NAU has done the opposite. Think Montana pulls it together tonight and grabs a road win.

Like that Wis-GB play too...May add that for a small play but not an official play of mine.

Like I said, I think I am capping well (and wasting time at work!), so looking for a big night!!

W...North Texas wins by 11!! before game time this line had shifted all the way to North Texas +1

L...Wisconsin had the cover and running out the clock with 17 seconds left...illinois doesn't foul but Wisconsin turns it over with 7 seconds left!!! all they had to do was run it out...Illinois makes an easy fast break bucket and Wisconsin only wins by 10.

3-2 on the day but thanks to the 5 unit wager on North Texas I made a lil dough on the day.

I stayed off the Illinois game

The Line move from 12 to 10.5 with the hook
combined with my numbers showing 10 just didnt
                        want to force the issue.

What did amaze me was Wisky shooting .389
from three point land going 7 for 18, just to many
                        garbage points allowed.

Illinois played its first game this year
in transition, a mandatory shift to the younger
                        talented players vs the Seniors.

Trent Meachum a walk on player led
                        Illinois in scoring 16 pts.

                        Illinois travels to Indiana Sunday
to take on 10th ranked Hoosiers.

                        Should be a good one.

3-3 for me. Montana blew a HUGE half time lead!!! They play Sacramento State (CC) on Saturday, and Sac State actually got a win. There will be some value in that line and I will be all over Montana on that game if the line is reasonable.

Cal-SB got off to a slow start and never caught up.

                          La-Monroe got blown away.

New Maxico State won SU as that line moved big time against me all day with a ton of people on Boise.

                          Ark-LR won pretty easily.

And N. Texas was a solid call I follwed from Brad. Line moved HUGE on that one against us too. I placed my bet at -1 and looked back and it was +1 2 seconds later. Kind of like the NM State game.

Nice insight on your plays and thanks for the heads up on N texas.

I put a small bet on USC late, but hasd Washington State on my sheet all day. Saw some good cappers on USC and thougth I may have missed something. Washy State plays D and they may be a team to watch.

St.Looey only scored 20 points last night--thought it was a typo. Least on stayed away from them!

                            Friday play-One only:

Harvard -4 over Dartmouth....Already beat Dartmouth this year by a bunch. Harvard is not too bad acually and there is usually a big talent gap in Ivy league teams. Either good or bad.

                              NBA Play:
                              12-6 NBA YTD

Golden State -9 over Memphis...Piss poor game for GS last time out at Portland. Bounce back blow out tonight.

                              NCAA:

                              Loyola-MD +5 at Fairfield

Here are my plays for tonight:

Manhattan -5.5...think they win by 10 easy

Niagra -4...think they pull out a 6 pt victory...this one should be close.

Like the Loyola pick..not so sure about Harvard..i'm with you but I could see this game being a big game for Dartmouth...they haven't played since they just got pounded by Harvard on 1/5/08. That game was at Harvard where Harvard has played very well. Harvard is 0-9 on the road however...so is Harvard good enough to overcome their 0-9 road record and the fact that the team they beat by 26 hasn't played anyone else since and will be looking for some mighty revenge? This game scares me too much to wager on..but I do think Harvard is the better team..and like most small lines..with a lead late they should be able to pull out the cover with some free throws and missed desperation threes.
