    Longshot parlay - pays 15-1

Brewers +210 at Boston - Might be worth a shot at +210
Astros + 116 at Texas - To avoid the sweep.
Padres +153 at Seattle - Seattle may be worse than Pads. Felix Hernandez a little overpriced in this one.

A few good choices to choose from today.

Washington +105 vs Philadelphia - Tim Redding, 5-3 3.55, held the Phillies scoreless on 1 hit over 7 innings earlier this year. Brett Myers at 2-4 5.91 certainly doesn't deserve to be the road favorite here after giving up 6 earned runs in each of his last 2 starts and not getting past the 5th inning in either game.
Houston +115 vs Cubs - Another nice home dog. Ted Lilly (4-4, 5.33) getting a lot of respect here on the road vs a hot team. Brian Moehler (1-0, 4.58) getting his 3rd start of the year (and 1st home start) after starting out in the bullpen. In his 2 starts he's done pretty well giving up only 3 runs in 10 innings on 13 hits, with 7 SO's and only 1 BB.
Colorado -149 vs San Francisco - Maybe a good choice for a run line bet at -1.5 +120. San Francisco is 15th out of 16 in the NL in runs scored and RBI and last in HR's, they are only 6-13 on the road and are in the midst of a 5 game losing streak. They are only 4-12 in May so far and have lost in all 4 of Pat Misch's starts. I think Colorado may be due to break out here soon. After their horrid road trip they have rebounded to win 2 of 3 on the current homestand. Can't say much for Rockie starter De La Rosa but hopefully the anemic Giant lineup won't be able to keep up with the Rockies
St Louis -120 at San Diego - I mentioned S.F. being 15th out of 16 in those offensive categories? If you're wondering who was 16th, it's the San Diego Padres. The Cards have scored 59 more runs than San Diego. If I counted correctly, the Pads are only 8-23 since Apr 16th. St Louis has Todd Wellemeyer going tonite who, at 4-1 3.27, has pitched very well. Padre starter Wilfredo Ledezma makes only his 2nd start of the year after starting in the bullpen. He has pitched well too but I believe the Cards have the edge with their superior offense.

Jeter's throwing error with 2 outs and only 1 run in prolongs the inning leading to another 6 runs. Mussina doesn't even make it out of the inning and leaves in the top of the first with 2 out and the score 7-0!

Oh did I say UN 9? I meant OV 9....yeah, that's the ticket

Memorial Day - Parlay - Pays around 6 to 1
Philly -1.5 (run line) - Even
              Angels -122
              Red Sox -111

Philly at home vs the Rockies who knocked them out of the playoffs last year. Holliday and Barnes both out for Rockies, 2 of their top 3 offensive threats.
Angels back home vs Detroit. Small price considering Detroit's road woes.
Boston really bad on the road but certainly they can beat Seattle?

Nice hit on the parlay! I had the Tigers for a small play and that was a close, good game!

Yeah, I couldn't figure out why it was only -122. But actually the Tigers aren't playing that bad outside of their division. It's inside the division where they are getting hammered. Before last night's game they were actually 16-12 overall and 7-6 on the road, outside of their division.

                      Tuesday - May 27

                      Parlay - Pays around 6-1
Red Sox -1.5 (run line) -120
                      Braves -121
                      Orioles +105

                      Boston @ Seattle - Batista (3-6 6.47) going for the run-challenged Mariners vs Boston's ace Matsuzaka (8-0 2.40)
Atlanta @ Milwaukee - The Braves not a great road choice but I'll take Tim Hudson (7-3 2.97) over Dave Bush (1-5 6.56) any day.
Baltimore vs NY Yankees - Why the Yanks are favored is beyond me. They're on the road and have got Ian Kennedy going, who hasn't won a game yet and has an ERA over 7.00. He did pitch well vs Baltimore in a recent home game, but last visit to Baltimore he got shelled for 4 runs in only 2.2 innings on 5 hits and 5 walks. Brian Burres (4-4 3.16) going for the O's who has faced the Yanks twice this year giving up only 1 run on 11 hits in a little over 13 innings.

Like that Braves play as a play against Bush who is a single A pitcher in my book.

Hesitant on the Orioles Starter. Hard to shut down a team for a third time. I missed the boat when they were a dog as they are moving toward a fav as of now.

                            Write ups -

Mil -126 vs Atl -Suppan has only had 3 home starts out of 10 and in each one he went 7 innings and only gave up 1 run.
Phil vs Col OV 10 +105 - Last 2 games 20-5 and 7-4. Pitching no better this time. I don't like Eaton...he'll give up at least 4 and Phillies bats hot.
Ana vs Det UN 9 -105 - Saunders (8-1 2.31) going for the Angels vs Armando Galarraga (3-2 3.70) for Detroit. Angels having trouble scoring runs lately. First 2 games in this series have netted only 6 runs total combined.

                              Parlay 2 - Cross Sport - Pays around 6.5 to 1

MLB Boston +108 - Wakefield for the Red Sox. Bedard has been having his problems for Seattle.
MLB San Diego -129 - Hate to pick San Diego but Washington poor road team and Estes for the Pads has 3/3 quality starts since being activated.
NBA Detroit +6.5 -110 @ Boston - Looking for a very close Boston win or an outright win by the Pistons.
