First of all, I'm a life long Notre Dame AND USC HATER so keep that in mind as I lay out the simple facts. As we all know, DEFENSE wins championships. Everybody LOVES offense, offense, offense, but in the end, D-E-F-E-N-S-E will prevail. As much as I'd like to see the Domers get whacked next week and put the retarded BSC system into a flat spin it'll be tough. USC has lost three of their last four and with these defensive stats: Loss at HOME to Arizona - Defense gave up 588 yards, to include 369 yards passing. Loss to Oregon, giving up over 60 points and 730 yards, that included 426 yards rushing, and yesterday gave up 406 yards as UCLA completely out-played USC. In those losses the USC defense couldn't stop run, couldn't stop pass, and after last night's loss, USC QB Barkley has his arm in a sling after late game injury.. There is no doubt Notre Dame's DEFENSE will have a second Thanksgiving Feast next Saturday.... and even the Notre Dame offense should be able to score on the below average Trojans defense. I expect a 23-13 type win for ND. THANK GOODNESS the arrogant Ohio State Yuckeyes are on probation this year..... I wouldn't even watch the BCS Championship if it were a Ohio State vs. Notre Dame matchup. Come on USC.... prove me wrong!!!

All I wanted for Xmas was no sec Teams in the title game. The grinch came early. Happy bc I had both Stanford and Baylor as plays but really was hoping they would have both won.
Bama will be in now,no doubt. Lucky pieces of poop. No offense RR but I just wanted a change this year!

End of that subject. The speed of USC will be 3 times what ND has faced all year.

ND is a finesse team, they are not a speed team repeat they are not a speed team. It remains to be seen how ND will react to the speed of USC.

Interesting to see no line anywhere on ND/USC because of the Barkley status......Out here on the West Coast it's all but official he won't play at all in the game.......Even "5 Dimes" who will usually post a line on whether the sun's gonna come up tomorrow or not, wont' bite........Hmmm, nothing in Vegas as yet as well.........Another surprise is how Stanford opened a mere 1-point favorite over UCLA (referred to as "OOOO-cla" out here), after just handling Oregon like a Pop Warner team......The Bruins are sky-high at the moment, with a pretty good coach, and the oddsmakers obviously see it.

I totally get it and I am sure that sentiment is shared by many. I am just a Bama fan although it may not seem that way sometimes. Your right.. By all rights we should not even be in it. Oregon never seems to close the deal and I am sure have made their fans sick. Georgia will be a challenge and so nothing is set in stone. I have no hard feelings for anyone pulling against not only Alabama but the SEC in general.

Back to Notre Dame.. I actually liked the game better with Barkley in the game. Maybe Notre Dame mentally eases up and USC gets under the number. I don't think USC will win though because they just have never seemed to be a solid team to me ever this year. They certainly have some weapons but the Irish defense will win this one for them..

Do you really think that USC will not score more than 10 points on ND?

Yes I see that the Irish are ranked # 1 in total defense with points allowed at 10 a game. That is a solid stat that I cannot over look. Upon further review from the booth this game requires further review.

USC averages 36 points a game there is no way in a mid western storm cloud that USC wont score points. ND is a good football team but they have not played with a team like USC with speed and loaded in depth.

I watched 3 teams this year bang ND head to toe and none of them was the caliber of USC. This USC team has speed and they will create turn overs.

Also, not that it means much but how many TOM, DICK, and Harry's have jumped on USC.. I will tell you one hell of a lot of them.. Nobody except me believes that the Irish will win.. What I have learned from wagering a long time ago is don't bet against the hot hand.. I have been actually over my head hot lately but your a fool to wager against me right now..

This is the same team absent a QB but the back up QB USC has will cause ND fits all day long.

I am loading very hard up on the Irish.. I am not suggesting you do the same.. Everyone wager as they will. What I am saying is... How even if Barkley plays do they beat Notre Dame? They were the pre season number one but have lost like what 3 games? How many games has Notre Dame lost? That would be zero!! I wish you and everyone else well and I won't even when Notre Dame kicks their ass say I told you so... I promise I won't say a word.. GOOD luck buddy!!
