Whew...... I like the passion Skybook. I wish every book would participate like you. You do get wound tight, but I might be the same way when someone talks about the way I run my business in a public forum. I own a business myself. I'm not a limit guy but I got a dime coming your way as soon as it gets here from another out. You searched for women for ten hours? I thought it was easy pickens there....

Thanks for the last post. After finding out what account number Fred was when he called i wanted to have a heart attack. So if you thought I was wound tight before you should have heard the thoughts in my head. Lets just say there are some sort of professional ethics in this indusrty amongst the books and the sharpest of wise guys. This guy has none.
For him to even find this forum and write that post the way he did proves it. I can not
respond correctly to those ridiculous accusations without breaking this unwritten code and affecting many other donbest books who I am great friends with. You are going to have to trust me on this one. If you cant already tell I am a very straight shooter.
I am done forever speaking about him and his posts. It holds no water here at skybook and no weight at any of the other donbest books I am friends with.
Now onto posts that matter to me and are relevant. I look foward to your sign-up with Skybook whether or not your a limit player or not. Remember besides high limits we also take the lowest minimum phone bet $25. As far as the woman go. I agree we should have been able to find them a lot quicker, but we kept getting drunk. Also Reno has really high standards. Tonight we are going out again and I will make sure we find a lady to his satisfaction.

Re read Fred ridiculous post from the start.
He spends 90 % talking about Mitch personally. What he did in vegas. How he acted in the mirage, WHen he moved for the wise guys, how he bets, what he bets,( and for the record I am sure SKY would be more then happy to exchange overnight lines with this guy and exchange any limit bets in the NBA he wants. I can assure you Sky never has or never did care what this guy bet.) Who he follows and so on and so on and so on. All of this totally irrelevant to what his complaint was about any way. So after spending 90% of his post bitching about Sky as a person and then later admitting he never even met him, he got to his complaint about skybook. Then followed it up saying he had no personal beef with SKy. So if that were the case he could have spared all of us the details about what Sky had for breakfast when he lived in vegas, what his fav color is, how many times he uses the bathroom, and all the other stuff he assumes to know about sky personally without ever meeting him. He could have just made his ridculous complaint about Skybook and have broken that unwritten rule I was talking about in 2 sentences.
Take care , Ill keep you posted on how tonights drinking and womanizing goes with Reno. Something I assume you are much more interested then how sky acted at his senior prom.

had the same problem last week. Many nights out, waaaayyy to much drinking, past the level of intoxication which facilitates picking up the ladies, into the level which inhibits it.

I was hoping this whole problem with Skybook was resolved after our phone conversation. But after reading his last post, and the treatment I recived when I tried to bet there, I guess it's not.

That was a smart move by Lance in his last post to focus on the things I said about SKY to divert attention about the real problems at Skybook.

He's right, I should not have slandered Sky in this forum, and I apologize for that. I was angry at the shabby treatment that I and many others have been getting at Skybook. I thought Sky was the only owner, and didn't realize that he had partners. Many of the things I said, had to do with the attitude of Sky towards sharp bettors. But, anything else was inappropriate.

I said I would tell everyone what happens after my phone conversation with Lance, so here goes:

First, I told Lance my account number. He then told me that he thought the stalling tactics that have been employed in the past had stopped. He told me that in the future, I could call and be dealt with promptly, and that he would honor the number on the Don Best Screen. He said he knew he had many problems in the past, and since he was not on the floor, he didn't know this was still happening. He said it would be corrected that very day.

I never thought I would bet there again, but after his conversation, I believed him.

So on Wed. Feb 3 I called at 3:28 pacific time to bet # 510 Phoenix Under.
Skybook showed 194 on the screen , along with Belize, CRIS, Olympic, and Caribi.
There was also 193.5, and 193 in a few places.
I called Skybook first. But when I asked for the game, Skybook shot me 193, because it was obvious I would bet under when I asked for that game. Then Skybook changed the screen to 193.
I was able to the bet 20 seconds later at the other four books that had 194.
No one else was betting this game but me at that time.

When I called right back to Skybook (at Prime Time) I was transferred to Lance's office, then told Lance was not there.

Now, It's fine with me if I don't bet there. But, I pay for four Don Best Screens, and I expect the books that are on the these screens, to be reputable, professional, and honorable. So, when they are not, then I'm going to complain.

I can tell you that I NEVER have any problem with the other eleven books on the screen, and several others that are off the screen. They all treat sharp action professionally. If you don't believe me, just ask any of them about me. But, while you're at it, ask around about Skybook too. You may be surpised at what you hear.

I want everyone to know that all of these other books on the screen accept sharp action. They get me off the phone quickly, and honor the number on the screen. After I bet, followers may come in and lay the next number. Also, the books also may get buy back action from other bettors when the number gets too high. The sharp bettors that win, CREATE action for the books. The smart books know how to use that action, and don't resist it, but actually want it. This way they know where it's coming from, and use it in their business.

I can also tell you that I know many of the other top bettors out there, and they complain about Skybook not giving them the number. It just so happens that I am the only one to speak out about it.

I feel that it is important for all the bettors out there to know that Skybook is certainly not in the same class as the other books on the Don Best Screen. Maybe he treats you fine, but there are a lot of players that he doesn't treat professionally.

Now, I am definitely through betting there.

One more thing on this. I don't want to see Skybook removed from the Don Best Screen.

I'm sure there are many of you bettor's out there who absolutely have no problem with Skybook.
I'm always glad to see another good book on the Screen. And Skybook has done many good things in the past, like half-times, early lines, etc...

For some reason Skybook doesn't honor the numbers with SOME players, and I was one of them. All I ever wanted, was to be able to bet them their posted numbers.

That's one reason I like online betting. Limits are low but the books can't check their screen before quoting a line. A few of the books on the left do this all the time. They check the screen, then give me a different line than what is posted on their real time web site. Needless to say, those books don't get much action from me.

I have no choice but to respond because Fred proves my point about this forum. At times it is educational but at times (like this one)it is sheer entertainment. Lets take a moment and review. Fred comes into this forum and writes a totally ridiculous post about Sky the person. Then at the last moment says what his problem with Skybook was. Then he proves what all the donbest books already know, That a so called wise guy like himself will lie, cheat, steal, and sell his family to get over on the book. No proof better then having himself post under a different name claiming (Golfer) to back what Fred was saying. After being caught with that pathetic attempt to claim that he speaks for many other players he continues on. Spends all his time talking about Sky as a person. Then himself later admits he never even met Sky. He claims it wasnt a personal attack on Sky then later admits he was wrong in attacking Sky personally. He also later admits basically he knows absolutely nothing about the make up of Skybook and thought Sky was a sole owner. I cant help but think of these analogies when I think about Fred. He is in a war attacking a tank with a pitchfork. He is in a street fight waving a baseball bat at a guy with a gun. My favorite one of them all he is in a boxing match and thinks he is winning because he has landed more punches with his face to his opponents fists. Now after getting those analogies out of the way lets divert our time back to the entertainment. Fred claims over and over again to speak for many people except the only one to respond and claim to agree with Fred was Fred under a different name. (2 minutes break for laughter)
So now onto Freds claim that he calls here and gets put on hold for a minute. I did look into it. I actually spent hours waiting for his call. He called said his account and asked for that line. Instantly the clerk read him 193 with no interuption. He then asked to speak to me. By this time as I said in a previous post there was no reason to ever talk to him again. He has shown he will lie, cheat, and manipulate any way he can. He will later then apologize or retrack his previous statements. I did not need to speak to him because once again he was completely lieing. He was not held up at all. HE was read a line as fast as it could be read.
Fred moves on again in his later post to tell us over about the mass of people he is speaking for yet the only people to respond , responded in disagreement. Except of course Fred himself under that other name. ( 5 minute pause for laughter) Then Fred Chooses to spend his time like he did in his original
post. Taking about someone personally. This time it is a person he obviously is in love with.(Himself) He bores us with his tales about how great he is, how sharp he is, how successful he is, how us books need to use him for our advantage, and how all the donbest books feel he is the greatest. Well unlike Fred I dont claim to speak for the masses. I speak for myself or my company. I will take the liberty of speaking for my fellow donbest books here though. Especially since I have recieved calls from some applauding me for exposing Fred for what he really is. Its is simple no one cares if Fred ever calls them again. None of us need Fred to keep us sharp. None of us need Fred to change our lines. None of us need Fred to CREATE action, and lastly none of us care if we have Fred as a client or not. Fred also neglects to mention a very important fact. This is the beauty of them all. Skybook as we all know stopped dealing with agents about 6 months ago. We were not the first. Although I wish we were. We were at the bottom of a long list of very good and very solid donbest books that long before us stopped dealing with agents. Of course because we at skybook try to do our best to keep the many outstanding relationships we have with every type of bettor there is we made an exception.
We let a special Friend keep some customers in here on credit. Fred was recently put back in here ON CREDIT NO LESS by this agent. So once again Fred proves over and over how dealing with the likes of him and his lieing, cheating ,and manipulating tactics get us donbest books and all other very solid books nowhere. Look where it got us. I have to waist my time here exposing him for what he really is. Lastly there are many other fine sportsbooks out there. Many with a lot more clients and a lot more business then some of the donbest books. Many in this site alone who choose not to go up on donbest because they dont need to be subject to this ridiculous waist of time and defend themselves against a so called wise guy who all books need to CREATE action. ( Another 5 minute pause for laughter.)
We deal with every single sharp bettor there is . I can assure you all. We have the highest limits in baseball for the most succesful baseball bettor there is. The sharpest of the sharp. As well as the other baseball group. We deal with the hockey expert and the football wiseguys. Trust me Fred is the least respected so called Originator of them all. We all know the talent involved and the incredible amount of time and research he puts into betting against the lakers when he finds out Shaq is not playing. Fred Sky is still waiting as well to exchange overnight lines in the NBA with you and bet away against you as high as you wish. We know you cant do this though because you have no advantage in rapeing Sky like you do when you make your so called sharp plays with all us books that need you. We know the truth Sky will have all your money and the proof that never in the past, present, or future, will Sky need to follow your NBA plays as you claim in your original post. ( 15 minute pause for laughter because I was laughing so hard I fell off my chair)
Fred if you dont want to ever call Skybook again dont. I can assure you we will stay open and do our best to CREATE action without you. I must be leaving now because (and I must refer back to a previous analogy) my fists are starting to hurt from all the puches Fred has landed with his face.
Finally to all my fellow sportbooks who have already called comending me for coming in here to respond to Fred. All saying they
understood the risk and why they choose not to. All those that called to thank me for saying what they all feel. I say this to you. No need to call me again after this post. I know how you feel already.
You have all been and will continue to be my close friends and as you have always done for me in the past I am always here for you. Dont worry Skybook has decided to stay open even if Fred no longer trys to lie, cheat, and steal from us. I hope you all do as well. I also hope we can all CREATE action even if he chooses not to call us. ( Pause for good my ribs actually hurt from laughing)

I have a excellent family, very good friends , and a very successful company. Life and society have been very good to me and I am thankful everyday for that. I am truly blessed for that. Also I have had my share of beautiful woman and always had a head turner as my girlfriend. With that being said I can not honestly tell you I dont have those goggles on many nights when I go out. I wake up many times wondering how I could possibly
have thought the girl next to me was pretty the night before. I then justify all these ugly woman as my way of giving back to a society that has given me so much.( LOL my friend) I can tell you also that when I dropped Reno off at 6.30 this morning after we left the bar he had his goggles on as well.

By live odds feed I assume you are talking about don best. I will try to help clear up how this works a little bit for you and others. The screeen is a guide. It does not guarantee that number. It is impossible for it to do so. Here is why.
There are many different systems used by the various books to link themselves to don best. Some might take 2 seconds to make a line change , some might take 10 seconds to make a line change, some offices might make them manually , and sometimes and I am not a compuer expert the systems and links are slower then others. The norm is definitly that the screen has the change for all the books with in 10 seconds or less , but very fast.
Here is my example as to what happens and it should help clear it all up. Lets say the wise guys bet a baseball game laying 40 cents. lets say for example the book moves it to 48 cents. What happens is when the play -40 goes you have the wise guys, the followers, the middlers, and anyone else who has a clue or a screen calling you at the same time. So of course while 20 guys call for the 40 cents they see on the screen at the exact same time. (I mean this littlerally . The exact same time. Check with any book if you doubt me.)Only one guy is first and read the line. The other 19 guys are read the 48 even though it still might not have hit the screen at that second. This is the nature of the business. This also happens a lot if just 3 or 4 normal opinion players are on the phone at the same time. Only one guy gets the line. After all why have limits if the line is good for everyone at the same time. Some places will say to the guy well your calling the same time as so and so I will give you each half a bet at that line.
This is pretty much common knowledge. Especially among wise guys players. They all
know how the game works. They invented it. That is why it is littlerally such a joke what Fred wrote and why I came back as strongly as I did. Also I meant what I said I have spoken to many , many other books applauding my responses to his accusations and insults in this forum.
I hope this helps clear up for you a little better how the screen updates and how come at many, many times within a 10 second period the office will have a change before the screen.

As far as the Shaq thing goes I agree with you 100%. That is the nature of the business.
I was just saying that while he gave us the endless list of how great his handicapping is . While he told us book how to use him and how helpful he is. If we know what we are doing we can win with his presence, and on and on and on.
I was simply saying I have a lot more respect for all the other originators and the talent involved along with the research and effort to coming up with their plays. It doesnt take much Skill to play against the lakers when Shaq isnt playing. I can also say that I doubt you will ever see all these other groups of wise guys with real talent crying in this forum.

Lance, you really didn't answer my question.

I can understand how crazy it must be when everyone is calling at once, and the line is moving faster than the live odds feed can keep up. But Fred's statement was that he was the first one (originating) playing the play. My question was whether your book quoted a different line than was on the feed, based on what you could see at the time (that your line was on one side of the consensus).
