My picks are in, and I see I can change them until the deadline. I like that. We can put picks in early and change later. That will result in fewer guys forgetting at the last minute. You can always put something in early and then come back and change later.
So, even if I pick 5 games on Thursday, including a Thursday game, I can change the other 4 before the Sunday deadline?
Okay by me.
from there website
After the early games kick off, meaning the games that are ealier than your custom deadline, users can still go back and change picks for the remaining unplayed games up until your custom deadline passes.
Appreciate the need for having a host site, but if the discussion between Possum and winners is correct it is no longer a "mock" contest.
You mean because one can change picks? True, that is different, but the biggest difference is the deadline itself. I see no harm allowing changes before the deadline. If you put your picks in early, it's just like your first draft. So, we allow you to put your first draft online, on the poolhost site, rather than on a piece of paper at home. It's the deadline that really counts. I think Sunday at 9 AM is a bit late because of how many lines will have moved and how much the lines will have moved from the Saturday 2 PM Eastern Westgate entry deadline to Sunday at 9 AM. It makes the contest more of a lines watching contest than a picks contest. Even the Westgate is a bit like that even with their Saturday at 2 PM Eastern deadline because they post the lines on Wednesday.
It's still 90% a "Mock SuperContest" as picking 5 against the spread is what it's really all about.

And the lines won't be changing we'll be keeping the same lines as the super book contest, I can see the only time somebody would probably change is related to a player injury or something to that effect.
and on the deadline time the issue is it can only be between 8am est and 8pm est the way the site is setup

We are referring to the real lines changing. This results in a lot of SuperContest players choosing the team that is the beneficiary of significant line moves from when the SuperContest posts the lines on Wednesday afternoon to their entry deadline of Saturday at 2 PM Eastern. We've had a deadline of Midnight Eastern and lines could move some more in those 10 hours. With a Sunday morning deadline, lines will move even more significantly as coaches make early Sunday morning decisions or injuries are announced or weather is updated. That will cause our contest players to really be watching the lines and making many of their picks based on line variance rather than the game matchups. I vote to keep with Saturday night midnight Eastern time or at least Saturday night midnight Pacific time for our west coast friends. But if the website only allows 8 AM to 8 PM, that's a problem.
