The Chiefs used a 17-point Fourth quarter to defeat the Panthers 20 to 17. Cairo Santos, the Chiefs’ kicker, will continue to be a busy man. He converted on Four field goals. The field goals paired with a 42-yard interception that was taken to the house ACCounted for the Chiefs’ victory.
The Chiefs could not run the ball or throw the ball. Their offense was stifled against the Panthers’ stout defense, yet the Chiefs found a way to win the Game. There is a reason that the Chiefs are 7 and 2 and are favored to win the tough AFC West. It’s because they are one of the more complete teams in the NFL and are truly battle tested.
Alex Smith threw 38 passes, completing 25 of them for 178 yards and one interception. The Chiefs leading rusher had 61 yards on 13 carries.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers put a beating on the Chicago Bears. The Bears’ defense was miserable and their offense wasn’t much better behind Jay Cutler. It was a bad team against a not good team. Just so happens that the not good team is much better than the bad team.
Jameis Winston continued to prove that he has the skillset and mindset to be a top QB in the NFL. The Bucs need to allow him to play football instead of controlling him with safe and boring run plays. When the Bucs open things up, they typically win football Games. Jameis has huge receivers and tight-ends to rely on.
The Chiefs are a better team than the Bucs. The Chiefs rarely commit turnovers and typically are not the team to beat themselves. The Bucs, on the other hand, do commit turnovers and beat themselves. The Chiefs will force the Bucs into bad decisions and will manage the Game effectively. Chiefs -7.5
