The Giants host the Redskins in a key NFC East matchup Sunday in a Game that kicks at 1pm est. The Giants are currently a -4.5 point favorite with a posted total of 46.
The defenses showed up, but to a point, come on it was the Saints’ and Giants’ defenses. The Giants continued to struggle running the ball. They’re going to have to find a way to get production out of the run Game if they want to win the NFC East.
Eli Manning was kept upright for the majority of the Game, however, he did turn over the football on a sack fumble. OUtside of not being able to put the ball in the endzone, the Giants actually looked pretty good. Their receiving core is upper tier in talent and production. Rookie wide receiver, Sterling Shepard, actually lead the group in catches and yards. His name was mentioned last week as well. As Ol’ Dirty Beckham and Salsa DaNCin’ Cruz continue to draw attention, Shepard has the ability to take advantage of the lack of attention he is receiving from the defense. Can you see him now?
The Washington Redskins lost a tough one to Dallas. To make it even worse was Alfred Morris, a former Redskin, was the one that puNChed the ball into the endzone to give Dallas the lead for good with around five minutes left in the Game. Kirk Cousins statistically had a pretty good Game, but what wasn’t captured in the box Scorewere the touchdown passes that he missed, the open receivers he didn’t see, and the overthrown balls. If you watch the tape, it was a C- performance by Kirk Cousins in a Game that the Redskins should have won.
