Now that football is out of the way it's time to turn our attention to College Hoops with March Madness on the horizon. Now is the time of year where we start to talk about the NCAA Bubble teams. Now is the time of year where coaches become politicians and start to lobby for not only their own teams, but also their conference in general, and in some cases, rightly so.

Take the Big East for example. Just about the entire league is still alive for an at large bid right now and when all is said and done, they could get 8 teams in. Yet you will also hear some big time lobbying from the mid major teams as all the NCAA Bubble team talk heats up this month. Ultimately, good solid teams from major conferences like the Big East will find themselves on the outside looking in as Cinderella teams get their spots.

As we head through February and towards the big Bracket Buster weekend the Bubble picture will start to clear up. The same criteria will come into play once again this year as it does every year with none more important than strength of schedule.

Take a team like Florida for example. 18-4 Sure looks good. But that weak non conference schedule will hurt them big time. With 9 games left Florida had better not drop more than a couple more games or they may be on the outside looking in.
