Boston Celtics
vs. Atlanta Hawks
Much like the Lakers and Nuggets, the Boston Celtics should
just roll over the Hawks without much effort or struggle.
No one in the NBA is playing defense like Kevin Garnett and
his boys in green right now, the Celtics are the most
defensively sound team I have seen in a long time. Along
with their lock down D the Celtics are blessed with multiple
scoring options like Ray Allen’s sharp shooting to Paul
Pierce’s unique scoring ability from both inside and outside
and finally KG dominance whenever he touches the basketball.
I don’t see anyone in the Eastern Conference really giving
the Celtics much trouble, except for maybe the Detroit
Pistons who are always dangerous.
I am not saying the Atlanta Hawks are that terrible because
honestly they aren’t that bad, especially now that Mike
Bibby has gotten comfortable in the offense and become a
solid leader and point guard for Joe Johnson and company.
The Hawks will most likely get swept, but I wouldn’t be
surprised to see them get one at home against the Celtics.
In the near future, I believe the Hawks will be a force in
the East with young players like Josh Smith, rookie Al
Horford, Joe Johnson and AC Law maturing and learning how to
play with each other, but right now they are going to learn
an important lesson against the Celtics, and that is
humility.
