Philadelphia 76ers vs. Detroit Pistons
This series is the perfect example of a classic David and Goliath
match up. The 76ers have made some much needed improvement this
season after the AI era, but to say that they will even take one
game against the veteran Detroit Pistons is ridiculous.
I don’t see anyone in the East giving the Pistons any trouble in the
playoffs besides the Boston Celtics. The combination of Chauncey
Billups, Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace and Tayshawn Prince along
with one of the best benches in basketball is just too deadly and
talented for the 76ers most of the East and some of the best in the
West to handle.
The only way the 76ers come away with a win in this series will be
do to injury to either Billups or Hamilton; otherwise this series
will be over before it even starts.
Maybe in a couple of years or so and a few good draft picks or
trades Philadelphia will be able to hang with the big dogs in the
NBA, but as of now the 76ers are going to go through some pounding
and learning experiences before they become a challenge for a
veteran team like the Detroit Pistons.
The Pistons should win this series in a sweep without a doubt!
