Army + 8 over Air Force – Air Force looks to be the better team but Army is actually on a bit of a roll. They have won 3 of their last 4 Games and just missed against Texas AM and Buffalo. The added motivation when the service academy’s get together favor Army here as Air Force has had the upper hand in this one. The talent GAp looks to have closed just enough to give Army a shot here.
Miami Fla +2 over Virginia – Virginia gets the “turn around your season” award. After a start in which Virginia looked to be the worst team in all of college football, they have rattled off 4 straight impressive wins. But this ones a big revenger for Miami who was pasted to the tune of 48-0 a year ago and has actually lost two straight to the Cavs. Miami has the weapons offensively to grab this one. Their yards per point number of 10, one of the best in the land, tells us they are making the most of their opportunities to put the ball in the End Zone. The Cavs can’t keep up.
Illinois -2.5 over Iowa – Our Illinois scout – “Carpet” tells us this one HUGE for Illinois. He says the coach is pissed, the players are mad and the fans are angry. Also tells us a loss would devastate Illini Nation. He then goes on to tells us he expects Illinois to “CRUSH” Iowa. Our friend “Carpet” (visit the Bettorsworld forums to check him out) is right a heck of a lot more than he is wrong when it comes to Illinois football and hoops, so we will ride the Carpet this week in this one.

Minnesota -7 over Northwestern – This play has everything we look for in a nice college football investment with the exception of Minny being a 7 point fav. We hate laying points and as a result, this play stays on the best of the rest as opposed to being a Key Release. It was close though. Minny leads the nation in turnover differential at a whopping +15 while Northwestern is at -3. Truthfully that alone is enough to play Minny. The Gophers also weigh in with spectacular yards per point numbers of 12 on offense and 21 on defense, among the best in the nation. Northwestern not to shabby as far as the ypp numbers go but Minny is the side here. Also some revenge at stake as Northwestern edged out Minny 49-48 in last years shootout. We LOVE the Gophers straight up here but aren’t crazy about laying the touchdown. Looking for a team to use in your teasers? Use Minny. They win this one.
Tennessee +6 over South Carolina – South Carolina at the bottom of the turnover list ranking 110 out of 119 teams. That alone is reason enough not to trust SC as a 6 point fav. Lots of talk about South Carolina having the best defense in the country but not by the numbers we use. The yards per point numbers for these two teams are about equal. 15’s all around on both offense and defense for both of these teams which is mediocre. Neither one of these teams is setting the world on fire these days. The Vols are the more desperate of the two with Fulmers job oNCe again on the line as they sit at 3-5 on the year and a loss here would make that a done deal, if it’s not already. Plus the history between these two is filled with close Games. 7 of the last 8 Games between these two have been decided by 3, 7, 1, 3, 8, 7, and 3 points. If Fulmer doesn’t save his job this week it will likely be by a nose.
Florida -6.5 over Georgia – Revenge and added motivation work best when the stats back it up. The stats back it up here. Florida putting up some great numbers and while Georgia looked great last week offensively it’s the defensive side of the ball that’s a coNCern here. The motivation comes from Georgia players, the entire team, daNCing in the End Zone after Georgia’s first Scorein last years Game. That rubbed everyone on the Florida side the wrong way big time. Revenge for the loss…..revenge for the daNCing……this one could get ugly.
Georgia Tech -2 over Florida State – The entire betting world was all over Georgia Tech last week. They picked the wrong week. This is the week to back Tech.
