Oregon vs. Arizona Football Pick with Analysis
9/24/11
The Oregon Ducks (2-1) open the Pac 12 Conference play as they visit the Arizona Wildcats (1-2). Oregon enters this Game as the 10th rank team in the country while Arizona continues its struggle against in my opinion the toughest Schedule in the nation.
After the disappointing performance against LSU, Oregon was able to bouNCe back with amazing scoring numbers dominating Nevada and Missouri State. Oregon is also loaded with offensive weapons like Darren Thomas and LAMichael James, they lead this spread offensive attack. In my opinion, Oregon’s defense is underrated; they have been able to hold teams offensively pretty well this year. They did give up 40 points against LSU, but these numbers can be deceiving as 20 of LSU points scored were off of turnovers.
The Wildcats come off a crushing loss against the Stanford Cardinal. This year, the Wildcats have had difficulties running the ball and with special teams among other things. This is a very young team and they may have their confideNCe shredded by this aggressive Oregon team. The defense has also not shown much promise in stopping the run or pass against Oklahoma State or Stanford. Numerous players from this Arizona squad have also suffered injuries iNCluding Adam Hall, Jake Fisher, Greg Nwoko, and Will Mobley just to name a few. Arizona probably will improve later in the season when their Schedule softens as they face their 3rd top 10 team in 3 weeks.
LSU has shown the recipe to beat this Oregon Ducks team they have a physical rushing attack along with a defense that creates turnovers. This Game looks to be a disaster for the Wildcats as they have not been able to run the ball well, nor are they a physical team on the offensive or defensive lines. Oregon will run up the Scoreas they look to impress pollsters to get back in the National Championship picture. Take Oregon to cover the 14 point spread as they destroy the Wildcats 55-17.
