The Oakland Raiders have gone from being written off as a team that might rival the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers as one of the worst of all time to a team that is riding a two-Game winning streak, including an upset of the defending Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers last week. The Seattle Seahawks, meanwhile, have gone from defending NFC champion and a consensus pick to repeat the feat to a team that is in search of answers after a loss last week at Kansas City. Oakland is 2-5 straight up but a slightly better 3-4 against the spread. The Raiders upset Pittsburgh last week 20-13 as 9-point home dogs for their third consecutive payoff against the board. Seattle lost their second consecutive Game last week in a 28-35 setback to Kansas City. The Seahawks rank just 23rd both on offense and on defense and have now dropped Four consecutive Games against the spread, proving to be overlays in recent weeks.
