Colts
vs.
Titans
Week 7
NFL Pick
10/23/16
The Tennessee Titans almost let one slip away to the winless Cleveland Browns. In football, almost does not matter. The fact of the matter is, the Titans won the Game and are legitimately in contention to win the AFC South. Wow!
The Titans are legitimately in contention to win the AFC South. Let that sink in. Kendall Wright played an outstanding Game as he torched the Browns secondary for 8 catches and 133 yards with a score. Although he may not have been overly productive statistically, Demarco Murray provided another good Game for the Titans thus being able to take pressure off of Marcus Mariota.
The Titans actually matched their win total from last year and we’re only in week 6. What a turn around a year and NEW TALENT can make. The emphasis on NEW TALENT is not supposed to be subtle. When a team goes out in free ageNCy and spends the money to attract NEW TALENT, then that team often outperforms their lesser talented self. Not sure that needed to be said, but it’s one of those truths that tends to slip by General Managers.
The Colts lost a tough one to Houston and now they have to head to play another divisional Game in Tennessee. The Colts are winless on the road this year.
Of the Colts 4 losses, all but one were by 4 points or less. So, close Games the norm for these Colts. Have to be coNCerned with the Titans offense which ranks 27th in the NFL using yards per point to rank. Asking a team that can’t put the ball in the endzone consistently to out duel a team that can, is risky. Colts +2.5
