Dolphins

vs.

Bengals

Thursday Night

NFL Pick

9/29/16

A couple of 1-2 teams will square off this week on Thursday Night Football as the Cincinnati Bengals host the Miami Dolphins. Kickoff is set for 8:25 pm est. and the Game can be seen on the NFL Network. The Bengals are currently favored at home by 7.

This Game is a perfect example of just how important each week is in the NFL. The winner of this Game will be 2-2 on the year with basically, a fresh start while the loser falls to 1-3 with a huge mountain to climb. If you’re going to be a contender in the NFL, every week is a must win.

The Cincinnati Bengals are off to a disappointing start to their season at 1 and 2. Now, the Bengals probably have had the toughest start to the season considering all three of their opponents are playoff/Super Bowl contenders.

The stats indicate that their two bright spots against the Broncos were Jeremy Hill and AJ Green. AJ Green should be a bright spot every week because he is by far the most skilled and dangerous offensive weapon on the Bengals’ roster.

Jeremy Hill on the other hand had 17 carries for 97 and 2 touchdowns. However, 50 of those yards came on 1 carry. Also, the offensive line could not contain a defensive line that was missing DeMarcus Ware. Instead, the Broncos’ 1st round pick, Shane Rey, showed up in a big way with 3 sacks. On top of that, the Bengals’ secondary was lit up by Trevor Siemian for a total of Four passing touchdowns and 312 yards.

The Miami Dolphins needed overtime and a ton of missed field goals by the Browns in order to come away with a victory. The Dolphins were up against the Browns’ 3rd string quarterback and could not contain the Browns’ 1st string wide receiver and apparently 3rd string running back and 4th string quarterback, Terrelle Pryor.

He kicked the Dolphins’ defense’s butt up and down the field. The only thing that really saved the Dolphins was Cody Parkey was 3 for 6 on his field goal attempts which includeda 46-yard missed field goal at the end of regulation that would’ve won the Game for the Browns.

The entire Dolphins’ team should feel embarrassed. Yes, they won the Game, but it was still a distasteful victory for Dolphins fans.

Tannehill played a pretty good Game and as always Jarvis LAndry showed up. The Dolphins will need more of their running Game without Arian Foster being around though.

Both teams are trying to avoid a 1 and 3 start to their season. The Dolphins could just as easily have been 3 and 0 or 0 and 3 considering all of their Games have been determined by the last drive of the Game.

This will be a Thursday night Game and we all know how ugly and sloppy Thursday night Games can be. CiNCy couldn’t stop Shane Rey or Von Miller and the Dolphins’ defensive line is just as if not more talented than the Broncos.

Our Pick – Dolphins +7.5
