The Ravens suffered their first loss of the season to the Raiders 28-27. While no one play should truly determine the outcome of a Game, fans were probably questioning the reasoning for going for two late in the Game. It turns out that attempting to give the Raiders a taste of their own medicine backfired on the Ravens as they were unsuccessful in their two-point conversion attempt with about three minutes left in the Game.
However, the Ravens had the lead at that point until Crabtree to catch his third touchdown pass of the Game. The Ravens’ runningback, TerreNCe West, had a good Game which probably led to the release of Justin Forsett
The Ravens will look to control the flow of the Game a little more against the Redskins. It was as if they Ravens wanted to prove that they had every bit as much talent on the offensive side of the ball as the Raiders had and that’s what led to their demise. However, the team is still 3-1 so they’re in good shape.
The Washington Redskins needed a 14 point Fourth quarter to ultimately beat the Cleveland Browns by 11. Kirk Cousins was efficient and the Redskins turned to Matt Jones to handle the majority of the work on the ground. Jordan Reed proved why he is to be considered a top 3 tightend with 9 catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns.
We like to use yards per point numbers to rank offenses and defenses. When we do that for these two teams we come up with a couple of mediocre, to below average offenses and defenses. In fact, these two have been equally inefficient on both sides of the ball. That said, we’ll take any points available with the dog in this one, which in this case, is 4. Redskins +4
