The Titans travel to Indy, to battle an iNConsistent Colts team that can’t protect Andrew LUck in the pocket. This is a very winnable Game for the Titans that are playing at a season high due to the arm and leg talent of young QB Marcus Mariota.
The Titans QB has thrown for 2,482 yards passing and 21 touchdowns and last weekend he threw for 4 TDS against the Packers. The Titans also have veteran RB DeMarco Murray who looks like a gem of a pick-up this off season; DeMarco has rushed for 930 yards and 8 TDS. On defense Brian Orakpo is playing like an All-Pro with 9 sacks this season and Ex Niners CB, Perrish Cox leads the team with 3 interceptions. Look for the 5-5 Titans to put pressure on LUck frequently in Indy.
The Colts have the fraNChise in QB Andrew LUck who has played well this season when he has been kept upright in the pocket. LUck comes into the Game with 2,565 yards passing and 17 touchdowns with a QBR of 68.5.
The problem is the iNConsistent play of the Colts offensive line. LUck has been battered and knocked down and oNCe again he is amongst the league leaders in QB hurries. The Colts won’t keep their fraNChise QB healthy much longer at this point if they don’t find a way to protect LUck. The Colts will need to implement the veteran RB Frank Gore into much of the Game plan to keep LUck safe in the pocket. Gore comes into the Game as a trusted blocker who has managed 592 yards rushing and 4 TDS this late in his career.
The Colts are 4-5 in a very winnable AFC South. Look for this Game to showcase LUck’s late Game heroics. The Titans will make this Game close, but LUck will rally his team to bring them back to .500 and a chance to win the division. Colts -2.5
