Philadelphia Eagles (6-7 SU 4-9 ATS) vs. L.A. Rams (11-2 SU 5-7-1 ATS)

The Eagles are coming off an OT loss to the Dallas Cowboys, which dropped them under .500 on the season. They are in the playoff race, but need to finish well, which will not be easy in this Game and then in their next one facing the Houston Texans. Philly has only beaten one team this season that has a winning record and they are only 2-4 on the road.

The Rams are coming off a loss where they high-powered offense was grounded in a 15-6 loss to the Chicago Bears. With the loss, they GAve up the #1 seed in the NFC to the New Orleans Saints, who have the same record, but beat them this season. Jared Goff and Todd Gurley were smothered by the Chicago defense in their last Game, but in this Game they face an Eagles’ defense that GAve up 576 yards in their last Game.

The Rams are a 9-point home favorite with a total of 53.5.

This season the Eagles are 7-6 ATS with an O/U record of 6-7 and the Rams are 4-7-2 ATS with an O/U record of 6-7.

These teams met last season in L.A. where the Eagles beat the Rams 43-35.

The Eagles are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 Games facing the Rams.

In their last Game, the Eagles were in the Big D and they lost to the Dallas Cowboys 29-23 in OT. The Game went to overtime even though Philly was outGAined 576 yards to 256 yards, but they came up with three turnovers. They only rushed for a grand total of 34 yards in the Game while they GAve up 142 rushing yards.

Carson Wentz passed for 228 yards with three TD and no INT and Four players had at least 38 receiving yards led by Alshon Jeffery with 50 receiving yards. Josh Adams led the Eagles with only 36 yards with 24 coming on one run. He had rushed for at least 84 yards in each of his previous two Games, which were both Eagles’ wins.

Wentz and company will be up against a Rams’ defense that was not bad in their last Game only giving up 15 points and, overall, they rank 14th in the league against the pass and 23rd against the run.

The Rams lost to the Chicago Bears 15-6 in their last Game where they were held to only 21`4 total yards. They only rushed for 52 yards and only converted three of their 12 3rd downs.

Goff had his worst Game of the season passing for Four 180 yards with no TD and he was picked off Four times. Gurley also had his worst Game only picking up 28 rushing yards on 11 carries and this was after rushing for 132 yards in his previous Game. Goff has a good chance to rebound in this Game since the Eagles only rank 30th in the league in pass defense while the run D has been pretty good ranking 10th.

Eagles ATS Trends

1-4 ATS in their last 5 Games

1-5 ATS in their last 6 Games facing a team with a winning record

Over record of 21-6 in their last 27 road Games

Rams ATS Trends

0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 home Games

1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 Games

Over record of 4-1 in their last 5 home Games

Jason’s Pick: Neither team has been a good bet in the last few weeks, but the Rams will be a good bet in this Game. The Eagles did play the Cowboys close in their last Game even though they GAve up a ton of yards. That will, sort of, be the case in this Game, as the Rams will rack up the yards on the defending champs and while they will not blow them out they will win and cover the spread.
